Re: what is your favorite martial arts movie?

Well to be honest, I don't know that title in english , but simthing like "Once apon a time in China" with Jet Li(made in Hong Kong)."Enter the dragon"is the second in my list. I love all films with Jun Fan(Bruce Lee),and old HK productions with unknown martial arts masters.

Re: what is your favorite martial arts movie?

Ahhhh I have to many favourites to choose as I love kung-fu movies, I like Jakie chans early stuff (snake in the eagles shadow/drunken master/legend of the drunken master (man the bloke he fights at the end of this has unbelivable kicks) etc) almost all his movies in fact stuff he did with Samo Hung, Yuen Biao etc...
Jet-li I like a lot as well (once upon a time in china/legend of fong sai yuk are two of my faves by him) he has such a good presence and fight style and he's so fast, I like all that "wire" style stuff a lot he does.
Im just starting to discover the more obscure stuff now as well (I only have a very limited knowledge though), I got one the otherday called kid with the golden arms and all the fighters in that are so talented (think there nicknamed the 5 venoms and did a lot of films together), another good one I saw receantlly (1 armed boxer 2 I think) had a villian who was a blind old master who killed ppl by throwing a hat/box thing on there heads and decapitating them lol and a bloke badly dressed as an indian with stretchy arms like Dhalsim, it was the sort of film thats so bad its good
I tend to like any kung fu films set in older times the best, I think If I had to choose my fave I've seen so far I'd pick Iron monkey I think as its a bit mad with evil shaolin monks who can tear chunks out of wood beams whilst flying about as well as loads of over the top moves and good wire work.

"evil woman monk"
Taste the blade of a virgin

"Iron monkey"

yeah, but i was thinking more about how the hooker was used as a weapon in the last battle scene. it was funny though, retarded isn't always bad.

Re: what is your favorite martial arts movie?

when it comes to martial arts, I would always go to my favorite artist, Jackie Chan... it never fail to amaze me with all those stunts perform by him... so anything done by him are really good... but lets say I like watching his Super Cop movies again and again...

He mastered Tai Chi. The movie was also known as "Tai Chi Master" in the asian community. They renamed it for American Audiences.

I like all Kung Fu fighting movies/anime. One that's stuck in my mind is definately "Thunderbolt" w/Jacki Chan. If you haven't seen it, it's what the "fast and the furiest" movies could only dream of being. Streetracing/trackracing/fighting and stunts that make you go "Damn!!! That's gotta hurt!!!".

I also enjoy the older 80's kung fu movies and Jet Li's movies that he made in china. His american movies are very lacking when compared to those. Although Kiss of the Dragon was pretty good.

Jacki Chan has become a little too americanized. But his old "Police Story" movies was a blast.

maybe when he had entered Hollywood... but before that, he really had numerous great films and he really did great stunts. It was I think Golden Harvest or something like that was producing the film for Jackie...

Re: what is your favorite martial arts movie?

Most Bruce Lee's films are very good, despite the fact they are old by now. I still watch them from time to time

Not really a kung-fu movie, but it has tons of fighting... Crouching Tiger, Hiding Dragon. I just love it
