Well.... it happened today, (sept 25/03) I was playing diablo 2 online, and finally I could face Andariel in act 1 (believe it or not, she is too damn hard).... so we were ready, it was time.... just cross the door and face her..... but just before that, my friend and I (both necromancers) were armed to the teeth (teeth lv 5 and 10 skeleton mages plus 2 golems, 2 archers and damage plus ready) and a barbarian jumped in...... this guy (timmy-garb or something like that) offered help (when we didn't need it) and then we fought her.... it was hell of a hard battle, until we defeated her..... then he takes all the booty without telling us (I was running for my life trying to get back my corpse)...... what the hell.... like 16000 gold, all taken by this mothafucca .... when we headed to Lut Gholein, he just sold all the items and logged off....... damn, we worked our arses to get to that place and this damn kid takes everything in the last minute!!!!!! %$$#"$&&$/&/%&%$&R%#$&&%$ fack him!!!!! goddamit.... I hate that guy...... so, NGEmu members around the world, if you play Diablo 2 and see some guy under the name of timmy-garb or something like that, please kick the crap outta him and steal his dead corpse for me.... i am sure you'll get at least 16000 worth stuff..... lol.... guess that's everything I want for him right now

*cough* hate to burst your bubble here but gold is practically without any value in d2 except for gambling and you cant loot other's bodies, all you can do is take their ear and gold...well, except in the rare case you "pop" someone i suppose i could let you borrow my lvl 80 amazon though if the account still exists

ah... the perfect reason to not play diablo2 online. when is playing d2 on bnet fun? either when you're playing with friends or playing by yourself. otherwise, chances are you're playing with one of those loser who in real life, would just want to punch the crap out him just for looking funny.

eh...D2 single player wasn't my thing at all...not even online was my thing...i palyed for a while until the storyline kept skipping over and over and over again...my necromancer and sorcereres were awesome...my account died though

yeah, thats the only problem with single player, is that you never interact with someone who can help you out. but, thats whay open bnet is for i guess, that way you and some buddies can do some dungeon crawling.

again, theres no joy in playing with people you don't know. and at least in openbnet you know not to trust anyone, while in closed bnet, you have to wonder if they're using duped items.

On games with so many cheaters like DII the only fun lies in playing with known persons... the open bnet is a nice detail though, it's good that you can play both offline and online with the same character...

Anyways, we could do a "DII marathon: the hunt for Timmy-garb"

you guys are acting too much like old men who distrust everything... i dont like bnet because i KNOW that practically everyone i play with is a loser with a trainer, atleast in closed bnet way more often than not you'll play with people who are just playing it through, first time or not... the whole point of playing online is because it is more like a community, ive met several friends on closed bnet, anyways, point is that its a LOT more fun to play online, and its a lot more fun when you play with people who are not out there using trainers and bots that will just end up killing you 50% of the time

exactly. thats all i could do when i used to have dial-up. and besides, i feel better having characters on my own computer instead of a far away server who likes to go down and erase accounts not used for a while.

Dunno, on games like DII or PSO it's quite difficult, all of them play using trainers... it's easier on strategy games or FPSs, then again, maybe it's just me...

I had my far share of those guys.

Playing in Closed Bnet can be very fun if you are with a nice group - but once those lamers pop up (and there're a lot of them out there) the game is ruined. Nevertheless, I had some awesome games on Bnet (with up to 7 players) where everyone behaved well - and such games were way better than any single player game ever was.

Anyway, my Lv 67 Assassin is forgoten by now - I guess my account will die in october
