Re: no taste

Are you saying that people who like that movie have no taste? I found that to be a really original and great movie.

Re: no taste

I agree, I *love* that movie. From Tim Burton's animation to the music...it's great.

Re: no taste

Well, yeah, they're both created by tim burton and have his signature look and feel. I love his stuff, personally.

Re: no taste

Hi kingo. Um, thank you? =) Have to say though, not a huge fan of Pee Wee's big adventure. It was always too strange for me, and I never found it funny. But with beetlejuice, nightmare, batman & batman returns (the penguin was the coolest), and edward scissorhands, I forgive him for some of his other works.

Oh, and the animation style in nightmare before christmas is called "stop motion animation" and it was the first time a feature length film had been done entirely with it (so that's why it looks so different and interesting).

Please stay on topic. If you want to ask such a question then start your own thread.

I believe it was claymation, at least partially. Claymation is a form of stop motion animation.

This is what I hate more than anything else. Everything done just yesterday was done for the first time when in fact it wasn't. I don't know when the first time this technique was used through out a movie but I know Hansel and Gretel:An Opera Fantasy predates NBC by decades.

you know that kinda is on topic considering it purtains to the subject...and why would he start his own thread about this movie if there is a perfectly good one to post in right here...sheesh that would be like considered spam...uh der...damn posers ...this post however...is off topic...so i shall end my statement now...

I haven't seen this movie but i really want to...have to look for it this weekend to rent

Talking Re: no taste

Stating the antithesis of the subject of a thread is not staying on topic.

The first time stop motion photography was used was in 1916... However before you jump to conclusions, I would like you to notice my use of the word "animation." NBC was the first feature length animated film produced entirely using stop motion animation. Hansel and Gretel (1954) used the stop motion technique, but with dolls & puppets; it was not an animated film.
