Re: psx music ripper

Use this dos program called PSBGM32.EXE, you can find the stuff you need
here.
http://www.mersinet.co.uk/muumuu/index.htm
DO NOT USE Windows program rippers, they do not do all 7 channels, and skips
constanly if your CD is bad, the dos programs doesn't do that. ^_^

THis converts the XA PSX Audio files into WAV, each XA file has 7 channels,
so in the options you have to use option 1 to get all the music from channel
1, then again all the way to 7.
After this use some wav khz editing program like Cool Edit to change the
wavs from 33.1khz (Thats what the PSX hardware uses) into 44khz, then you
can encode, because if I am correct, there isn't any encoders out there that
can do 33.1 now.

EDIT :

Site is down just search google for it

Still DOS , but English.

If this doesn't PSMPLay should also be able to do this :

http://www.classicgaming.com/castlevania/psmplay.zip

wnaspi32.dll link , if you don't have it :
http://w1.401.telia.com/~u40118856/wnaspi32.zip

Edit :
Next time post this in the appropriate forum , Everything Else PSX , you might get better support there , just ask a mod or admin to move the thread.

Uh, I use PSMPlay all the time. And thats the only program that can extract the FFIX movie [at that time]. It can also extract the music as well.

That's probably because it's a 6 year old link.
