Re: OK than help me configure my outlookexpress

You sure you set up the right address for your server? It should be something like mail.btinternet.com or pop.yahoo.com or something like htat.

Re: OK than help me configure my outlookexpress

Right in the beginning when you set up an account, you are asked for pop server and smtp server. Or if you're using hotmail/msn accounts then it'll set it up automatically.

You can set you're account by going to :

Tools > Accounts

If there is an account listed there, click on properties, or if you want to add another one, click "add".

Then keep filling the fields..

I hope I was helpfull.

Re: OK than help me configure my outlookexpress

Looking at the error message you getting, it looks like you have OE set to use SSL security which your ISP mail server does not support. I have OE uninstalled so i can't tell you exactly where to go, but just deselect anything that says use SSL or passowrd authentication.

Edit:

Just after i posted, i realized my laptop has OE heh. If you go into the account properties, make sure that on the servers page that "log on using secure password authentication" and "My server requires authentication" are unchecked. Also on the advanced tab, make sure that "This server requires SSL Authentication" is unchecked for both "outgoing mail (SMTP)" and "incomming mail (pop3)." That should do it.
