Why You Knockin Rap??

like the title says i want to know why just about everyone on here is knockin rap?? It seems that almost everyone on here hates rap music so i want to know why, and i know a lot of people think it's the same thing from all rappers, so i dont wanna hear any of that. Besides it's wrong there is a huge differance between people like bone thugs n harmony and 50 cent. Also there are underground artists that are usually way different than mainstream artists.

well, there are talented rappers... what I just have been hearing too much on the radio is covers from old songs with a hip hop drum and somebody talking in it.. I think that's pretty bad .. ;p

"All dis niggas and all dis hoes someone here's gonna fuk"

That's why its ***. Its plain ****. I'd say there is 2 MAYBE 3 good rap songs in this world. Other rappers rap about "Pimp Juice" and killing and eating baby clits. Thats not something I'd call music.

There are 2 types of people that enjoy rap..whether they rea;ize it or not...

There are those few that listen to the flow of the rhyme, and feel the words.. - examples KRS-1, NAS, some Tupac, etc or have a cool way of slapping words together - ex=Method Man, Biggy, etc

Then there are those who simply dig the song because it has a catchy beat.. ex= any beat generated by Dr Dre, Jermaine Depri, or Timberland

So why can't some get into it? Well for one..some deep rhymers speak of things that some can't relate to...not everyone is from the urban streets. So they don't comprehend..aka..they think their speaking nonsense.

Then there are those non talent commercial rappers who flow with minimal talent, rip off a melody from another song and loop it, and then call it theirs... It's sad when rappers now are stealing from other rappers....example...Jay Z and Bionce's "Bonnie and Clyde"..both the Beat and the hook where taken from Tupac...who borrowed the hook from Jody Watley's Me and my boyfriend....

What about LiL Kim's "Keep your Bread Up" that has lyrics thrown by Biggie, and the hook from "Keep Your Head Up"..and it's obvious where the beat came from.

DW is not pleased with the way the Rap industry is going

lol, just about everybody in the industry is lifting from biggie's lyrics. I think Jay-z has made it standard to lift at least one biggie line per song. I like rap because i love the beats they put together. I always get into the beat first, then i get into the lyrics. Right now i'm really into what pharell and timbaland are doing.

If you like beats then listen to Techno/Trance/Electronica that's were all of it came from. I'm an avid listener to Techno because I like the beats.

Greetings,

I hate both rap and techno. Some rap songs can have a bit of talent in them, and that's all. The closest thing to rap that I ocasionally listen to is Kid Rock (and most of their lyrics are stupid porno ****). Some of their songs (like "American Bad A$$) are good, most of them aren't.
For people who like catchy tunes, rap may be a modern option, though.

Live long and prosper.

I know there are people on the board that bust rap because they say it doesnt contain any talent. There is an Idea, I want you to compose a steady beat with full lyrics. If you think you can produce a rap song, I would like to hear it. But if you are just another one of those punk rock faggots with your **** in your hand. Dont say ****.

I do not like rock but also, I dont say it sucks. Rock doesnt interest me, but I dont call it talentless. You can argue this to the grave all you want, but Rap is a Genre. Live with it.

Justin Timberlake should goto the gallows pole

BTW Kirby, as you like rap you should try some Kid Rock songs. They have some good songs, and you'll probably like it.
