Whats next for Star trek movies?
After nemisis, i seriously doubt they'll make another startrek with the TNG crew. for those of you who havent seen the movie... and shame on you if you havnet..
with that said, i dont see how they can make another with that crew. whos next for star trek? Voyager Crew - I would really like to see how they would put that together, Janeways an Admeral now. and if they followed the last episode voyagers a damn museum. so i would really like to see what their excuse is to get that crew up and running DS9 - Possible with Worf now. they never really finished the story of DS9 anyway, to many unanswered questions that poped up. Enteprise - Too knew to do a movie... can they even handel one? i think that DS9 would be the best possible choice they would use for a movie. but it would be rather boring... I dunno how they'll do it.

I would personally like to see them do a Deep Space Nine movie. I think DS9 was by far the deepest and most epic Star Trek series ever made. It was the first to have a true continuing story, and a darn good one I might add. The characters also seemed more believable as did the general balance of the universe... we got to see the darker side of the federation instead of the perfect and "Holier than Thou" federation portrayed in the original series, The Next Generation and Voyager.
I also think it's quite likely a DS9 movie will happen, floating around out in space with no continuing plot is starting to show it's age in the later movies, particularly in Insurrection. I think Generations, First Contact and Nemesis came out great... but I think Stuart Baird held Nemesis back from being near-perfect. They cut a few too many scenes and it made the movie feel awkward at times due to how rushed it felt. -- Just my two cents... |

After Voyager, I stopped taking Star Trek seriously anymore... really, it's become a parody of itself. Babylon 5 and other sci-fi series have progressed way beyond Star Trek's highly idealized universe.
Let the Star Trek franchise die a natural death I say... no more Star Trek movies or T.V. spin-offs!

Well the only real option for a movie is Deep Space 9. Voyager has nothing else to resolve and Enterprise is too new and plot is too weak for a solid movie storyline. Anyways DS9 was my favorite series up there, I stopped during Voyager becuase I disliked Janeway so much and Enterpise can't hold my interest.

Greetings,
For now DS9 would be the best option. Another TNG movie would be too much (but I would like another ToS one... oh nostalgy). Live long and prosper.

cant believe like 4 other people who like ds9 sprung up outa nowhere, where were you people in the "favourite star trek series thread"
well... ds9 would be good for a movie, have a "return of sisko" after his 'untimely death' at the fire caves... i personally would like to see them collaborate the crews though... like use the basic ds9 crew but also add in a few from tng and voyager... tuvok chakotay and paris were ok characters... and patrick stewart could be used in another film... although if they made a ds9 movie, it would be sorta hard incorporating odo into it seeing as he rejoined the link... although rene auberjonois (odo) was one of my favourite chars in that series

no matter what question you ask, I am always a diehard Voyager fan. The show ws actually unexpectially extended for a year, that's why the last year sucked
I can't see Enterprise being the next one, too "plain"

Personally the whole Star Trek franchise is getting stale. I think the studio should give it a rest before creating another movie.
Back to the question, I think DS9 would make a good movie. There could be this apocalyptic alien treat facing Bajor and the universe. Then Sisko would come down and save them all like the Messiah. |

).And as Star Trek features a lot of time travels it would be easy for them to bring back kirk to a new movie (but maybe this is just wishful thinking ).

It's official that the next Star Trek movie is going to be with the 'Voyager' crew....but, it's got to do with the Borg...once again.

Sisko didn't die in the Fire Caves but went to ponce around with the Wormhole Aliens (prophets) and even told Cassidy Yates that he wasn't dead..
If I see another Voyager with Borg in it I will go mad, Voyager as a series totally spoilt the Borg as an enemy, 8472 or the Hirogen would be a better enemy now. Is Worf not now the Federation Ambassador to the Klingon Empire, selected by Chancellor Martok. I personally would like to see a series of TV movies before the next big screen job, one with George Taki back as Captain Sulu a project that he has said he would love to do. A Voyager movie could detail what has happened to the crew now they are home, after all half of them were wanted criminals and would quite likely be in the nick now. DS9 would see Sisko return and get married, with Worf finding out that his brother Kurn has his memories back and succeeding Martok as ruler of the Empire. |

well, not dead dead, but wasnt it sortof like an afterlife in a way? i know if i jumped 6km into a burning inferno i would prolly die >Is Worf not now the Federation Ambassador to the Klingon Empire, selected by Chancellor Martok. yeah, he was appointed ambassador in the last eppy >with Worf finding out that his brother Kurn has his memories back and succeeding Martok as ruler of the Empire. i sorta see 2 problems with this... 1) I really liked martok, he was a cool character 2) didnt Kurn die in one of the earlier ds9 episodes right around the time when the federation and the empire split ways

As I remember it Kurn was made an outcast from the Empire when Worf refused to help Gowron, after trying to find jobs on DS9 Kurn tried to kill himself.
Worf persuaded Bashir to wipe Kurn's memory and called in a favour from a friend of his fathers, who pretended that Kurn was his son, so Kurn became a member of the new house. I never said I wanted Martok to die, he is great character, I see him returning to the frontline of battle where he should be. Sisko was snatched away from death by the Prophets at the last moment, they can manipulate time, they took him so that he could learn their ways and he could teach them the way humans live in time. |

There will be no new TNG movie. Paramount barely broke even on Insurection, and lost several million dollars on Nemesis. In fact, Nemesis was not even going to be a movie, it was supposed to be an Enterprise episode. but a bunch of people cried to paramount to make it a TNG movie. Executives from paramount have already stated that Nemesis was the last TNG movie, and with the poor success of Nemesis, it was extremely doubtful that their would be any new ST movie.
