Do you like polls?

Just curious. Please elaborate on why or why not if you wish.

yes, easy way to get a general consensus on an idea...as long as enough people do the poll and answer truthfully

Don't care for them. The results are almost always very predictable.

Polls are cool, however the ones at NGemu can be more flexible.

They have thier place, but there are too many polls with baka questions which everyone knows the answer too (the 'which sex are you' one as a prime example). If people used polls with a little more intelligence, it'd be better.

Re: Do you like polls?

No, especially not political polls cited on CNN.

As far as online polls go, I rarely vote for them except to purposely screw up the curve.
-- Like here for instance, where I voted "yes".

You may also want to add the word "useless"... do any of you remembers the "Which FF is your favorite?" era, now that's a good example of how a poll can end up being hated...

Greetings,

I like polls, even though their results may be predictable most of the time. When the subject is good it gives us the opportunity to discuss it in depth (it's a kind of hook).
But there are too many useless polls nowadays. Many of them looks like just an opportunity to spam (like the "which sex r u", for instance).

Live long and prosper.

It depends on the subject but polls do have quick results on a forum.

polls are alright... assuming they haven't been done already, or aren't entirely retarded. however, its better if the poll also generates some sort of discussion instead of everyone just voting, and thats the end.
