well, my stupid aunt got one of those. spent $50 on that sorry excuse of a product.

buyer beware. there are cheaper alternatives. like a crossover cable. it would cost you at least 2 bucks. hell, even if you need 2 nics for the 2 comps, it would still cost you half as much as that stupid thing.

sorry, i just have to put in my 2 cents and warn everyone.

I don't think thats totally a waste of money for some people. True people like you (and on these boards) could just buy a cheap cross-over cable, but some computer n00bs would probably not know how to configure it. Thus the software...

There is providing a niche piece of software, and then there's overcharging. They shouldn't be allowed to charge more than US$20 for that, and that's if it's USB2.0
