Do You Guys Cheat On Online Multiplayer Games?!

I must admit that I do cheat on online games such as America's Army: Operations. I don't cheat because I suck but because I like to exploit the game and have an advantage over other players. However, I was found out and had my Honor lowered from 22 to 5 and I have to go through Boot Camp all over again. It sucks! Do you guys think it is wrong to cheat?

Exactly, I can recall hitting someone with a Machine gun while playing CS, I emptied 100 shells in his damn body and he was still alive, and when he noticed me, I was killed with one single shot.....that was really annoying

Personally I dont know any ways to cheat online nor do I want to know, I know its frustrating when your playing against more superior players than yourself but its the best way to improve your own game.
I dont play much online as Im only 56k atm but when I do I find its a lot more fun as humans are more unpredictable and I take the game more seriouslly so hopefully my skills improve.
If I know people are cheating (ie Im shooting them and there not going down) then I'll just turn it off as its no fun.

The closest I've ever come to cheating in an online game is using some innovative key binds to my advantage.
For example in RavenShield you can open a door normally and make noise doing so or you can scroll the mouse wheel to quietly open or close a door that's close by. There is another key you can hold while scrolling that makes you open the door faster, but still quietly. Well I rebinded the commands so that its like I'm automatically holding the fast scroll key whenever I scroll. I guess you could consider that cheating, but I don't because anybody can do the same thing by holding the fast scroll key down.

A funny thing happened the other day though. I've barely played CounterStrike at all and I was playing for about the third time ever the other day when sombody accused me of using an auto-aim cheat. I told the guy "no way, I'm basically a newb at this game, but have played RavenShield a lot", but he wouldn't believe me and even left the server annoyed at me for cheating.

i'm against online cheating too. single player, cheat all you want. but in multiplayer its just annoying. cheaters killed diablo! (and every other game where characters are stored on a hard drive)
since i suck at shooters, hackers kill me just the same as non hackers.

Same here. I went into a ut2k3 room and the guy was so bad, he thought he kept hitting me but he didn't hit me once. I was instantly a h4x0rz.

Hacking totally ruins the game. If it's so easy to win then you should cheat on single player mode instead of people who will actually care. The only time i cheat is on single player. I like to play GTA3 and drive around with my hacked up car while invinsible. I would rather try and kill guys on my own and get better at the game. It's much more fun to try and doge and hit other people. Cheating totally ruins the purpose of the game.

Wow! Everyone here is anti-cheating. I thought there would be a few people that would be like, "I cheat sometimes but not all the times." but there aren't any. I must be a loser......

well, for a game like americasarmy im glad that they punish people who cheat. This game's supposed to be realistic, not incredibly annoying. Once on bridge map a guy with a SAW took out me and 2 teammates on the defense tower stairs from the complete other side of the map, ugh. I remember once one idiot tried to votekick me because he thought i was cheating, he ended up getting like 4/11 votes, he was an idiot though, and i ended up later starting a votekick that did kick him out. I was playing on Weapons_cache_se and i kiilled 3 people at tertiary who couldnt shoot or didnt see me, i was red by the end of them all and i got accused by the little freak for cheating, i asked him how the hell i was cheating and he started swearing like a dumb 10 year old, i called him an idiot, and he started yelling some more curse words and calling me a hacker... ofcourse in the game about 5 people on my team and 3 on the enemy team called him an idiot as well and we ended up kicking the little freak who probably sucked so much cause he was used to counterstrike gameplay and never played a realistic game

Dude, I don't suck. If I played fair with no cheats or hacks I wouldn't be the best player but I would be the second or third best player on the map. However, I like to use these cheats. I like to see how the other players play and get into formation and stuff and I like how I can walk right by them because I know the direction they are facing and get to the objective a minute after the game has started and when its over everyone is like "WTF?!". That's really funny. I do it for amusement I don't do it because I suck. This game isn't hard. It's just about using tactics and cheating is a tactic. Just like in World War 2 when the allies developed radar to see the German planes. Was that unfair and wrong because they had the advantage over the Axes? What do you think?

try "cheating" by being omniscient omnipresent in real life, camping is a tactic (although an annoying one for the defenders who wait for assaulters) but its still a tactic. Theres a fine line between getting automatic aim and seeing through walls and technological advances such as weaponry and sensors

So I guess Im not "cheating", that badly anyways, since I only use a D3D program that colors the enemy players Red and the friendly soldier blue. Isn't that considered "sensors" since it senses who the person is and displays them also on a radar?
