lens that allows a camera to take pictures able to see through clothing?

They had something similar almost a year ago or more where some cameras were equiped with a form of night vision that produced pictures an aweful like those on the site (same tech?). anyway it has been used for voyarism a lot, and the company that made the camera set it up so that the feature would not enable in daylight. I think the tech was a form of light intencification and filtering rather than what the site talks about because the modified cameras (not teribly expensive but unmodified is soughtafter) didn't do seethrough in the night.
