doubt it. It's more powerful, but not by much. The two systems are about equal. It would be like having a SNES emulator on Genesis.

Well, coming from psx and n64 emulation, we all know it takes double/triple the power or more of a pc to emulate the psx/n64. So saying that, maybe it could emulate the NES but not the SNES. IMO, I could very well be wrong.

It "might" be done, but it'd be very hard. As others have noted, it isn't really strong enough to do it particularly well.

Maybe it could be done with a single emultor for each game,
that resolves compatibility problems, and would run faster... I think...
I'm not a programmer

It would be more a conversion than an emulation

It would be more a conversion than an emulation
AKA porting, been done with quite alot of SNES games.

Even then, what? Will you play the converted SNES games on a GBA emulator? Cause if that's the case, then just use ZSNES or Snes9x? But if you wanted to play the SNES games on a GBA, the first problem, even before the problem of emulating it, is the amount of buttons!! If you only have A, B, Left shoulder and Right Shoulder, Start and Select, what are you gonna do for X and Y?

ready2rumbelX is right about that. But having a portable chrono trigger would be a lot of fun nonetheless

I think we can only wait and see what the future brings us.

not really; what bleem does is only emulating what is required for that particular game. that speeds up things.

There are several other problems too. The GBA resolution is slightly lower than the usual SNES resolution, and the GBA sound processor isn't as good as the SNES one.

The Dreamcast is a great deal more powerful than the PSX. The GBA isn't much more powerful than the SNES. SNES games can be played on the GBa, but they must be ported individually, and the SNES ROM is changed dramatically in doing so.

For the same reason that people selling CDRs of PSX games and PS2 games in the street for $5 bothers me. Same crap, different style.

Zsnes on a labtop..

As to the question:

It can be emulated, but the speed wouldn't be reasonable enough to really play..

yeah... actually, it is a common practice in many countries..... as for here... an original PSX game costs almost the same as a PSX itself.... so it is very common to buy PSX games at 1 dollar per CD (poriginal games cannot e found in my city for example...)
