Merged your posts, removing the other one. They're on a same topic.

I use mp3 all the time, even if I got the audio cd, I will convert all the data into mp3 format. The reasons, they are smaller, and I can have more songs in one cd. There shouldnt be any different any different between the quality if you conver them properly.

I use MP3 format. I never seem to have a reason to put them in the audio format.

I gave away all my CDs. I do notice a difference at extremely high volumes though

The computer is my multimedia center, so I prefer to use mp3's. I transferred my 200+ CD collection (yes, actual real BOUGHT CD's) to mp3 format long ago. My discman still only uses audio CD's though so I use CD's when I'm walking around and listening to music.

I use MP3s, as they are so much more convenient. As for quality I can't really tell a difference and I'm not going to strain my ears trying.

I use mp3 as well due to space concerns but I dont know how you can say theres no sound quality difference between cd audio & mp3, I can easilly telll the difference between a 128kbps mp3 and a cd.
I allways encode mp3s at the highest varible bit rate as its a lot harder to tell the difference between them and cd-audio, I can only assume you play them through crappy hi-fi systems or just computer "speakers" otherwise Im sure you all would agree with me.

I usually don't bother with the regular CDs. They're more convenient to listen to in MP3.

OK, I use CD Audio in the car, but only because it can't play MP3s.

mp3... i don't go out except if it's for school, so, basically i don't need a cd player or anything, just a computer.

i got a cd player but, i don't buy cds (meh, i'm cheap) so, i just use the mp3s that i download to cds (illegal but, meh, what's legal these days?)

I usually use cd-audio, my stereo and discman don't support mp3 So I always convert downloaded mp3's (only rare versions of good songs) to cd-Audio. But I really hate low-quality mp3's. Like 128kb/s, you can hear the difference when you compare it to cdaudio. At least with rock. When it's hardstyle, or hardcore the difference in quality isn't bothering me much. As long as the bass shakes the whole house

I mainly use mp3 on my PC... since we don't have a mp3 player on our stereo or even portable player, I use CD...
