Burn Videos to play on DVD Players

I cant figure out how to get my downloaded vids to play on my DVD player. Is there a special program i should use or something.
I want to be able to burn avi's and mpg's to a cdr or cdrw and play them on a dvd player. If anyone can tell me it would realy help me.
-thx

There are tons of programs that do that for you. The one I use is TMPG. You better make sure that your DVD player can play VCD/SVCD because the DVD format is way to big to fit on a 80 min CD-R, unless you have a DVD burner. The link to TMPG is here

your dvd player needs to support cd-r's and vcd/svcd's. If it dosnt, go buy a new one or just watch me on your computer.
