Squaresoft returning to nintendo?

WHAT is this that i hear about squaresoft returning to make more games for nintendo systems?

does anyone have confirmation on this or is it a load of bull?

There are a couple of Square games going to GC. However, now it's a more difficult question as Exin and Square have merged.

Actually it is Enix and Square.

BTW: The new company merge name will be called Square-Enix. (i like squaresoft better)

I know! I heard they were teaming up for a game, not a company merge! But It is official and i think it sucks! I mean yea more money to make games and crap but i like square just the way they are. but maybe on the vright side we will see some more original games. I mean i like FFX-2 but alot of people seem to be against it so maybe the new merge will make those people happy

Actually, there are 3 games confirmed to game boy advance and a Final Fantasy to GC. But about Square + Enix, I think it would be great. Imagine Dragon Quest with Square quality!

The games confirmed to GBA are: Final Fantasy Tactics (will be released this year), Seiken Densetsu (2003) and Dice de Chocobo (a mario party type of game, 2003). To GC, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicle (2003).

heh. Old news now.

Yes, those are the Square games due out next year. There are also supposed to be 3 Enix games coming out next year as well, but their names haven't been announced yet. I figured this was worth mentioning, as they are merging with Square.

Brownie Brown is composed of ex-Squaresoft employees, and they are supposed to be making a GameCube game right now as well as the Seiken Densetsu game on GBA. Personally, I would think it would be another game in the Seiken Densetsu series.

Napro, Enix and Square have both stated in a recent press release that Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest will remain seperate series with no interactions. I take that to mean that the quality of each series will remain stable.

(Although I hope that Enix tells Square to stop making crappy games)

Personally I think that the compettition between the two companies has made both their products better...

Without that drive to sell more then the main compettition and have a larger brend loyalty population then each other....

I think that the quality of their (new) games will be inferior to what we have seen up to this point.
