Hold your breath and count to 10. If that doesn't work hold your breath until you loose consiousness when you wake they should be gone.

There is no surefire way to cure hiccups.
There are all the old wives tales:
Drink a coup of water upside down.
Eat a spoon of suger.
Get someone to scare the crap outta you.
Hold your breath.

These have aboloutly no guarantees tho.

No, but i've seen my dogs hiccup....THAT's funny! HAHAHA!!

B.T.W, Kid A, the best solution for hiccups, especially for me, is when you start, take REALLY deep breathes. You'll hiccup a bit, but it subsides very quickly.

Does anyone know the cause of hiccups?

Why even smoke at all? It'll just kill you. My dad just recovered from lung cancer...man, that was a scary period....

Try to expell all of the air out of your lungs(this may hurt a little)(I do mean all),Your diagfram shoud relax when your lungs feel like they are about to colaps(Note.Feel like,Your ribcage muscles shoud keep your lungs from colapsing)

I had hiccups in a cinema. It was embarrasing, but drinking water and then holding my breath seemed to stop it.

heh, hicups in a cinema? ouch... and hiccups are cause by small concentrations of air that get stuck in your stomach and cannot escape, they end up causing problems with the air flow and... you have a hiccup

Whats worse is I once hiccup and burp at the sametime. And I mean the sametime, not a burp followed by a hiccup in a split second. It was weird and my friends were like
