Maths help

Just need to make sure I am equating right.

Formula =
E = nhf
E = mc^2

Solve for c:

nhf = mc^2

c = (nhf/m)^(.5)

Yeah that's right, if .5 means 0.5 (I think so)

My answer is the same. Funny how you do complicated for my level things but confirm simpler formulas with us.

Have to make sure I am not making any mistakes on my part. Thanks guys.
Complicated things derive from simple things. If you can do a simple thing you can do complicated things.

The problems most people face with maths is they don't understand the basics and they find the more "complicated" things hard.

Is that what you ment Han?

BTW: .5 = 1/2 = 0.5
I just left out the zero. I am being lazy.

Somewhat, but not really. I was thinking you're one of the people who got too much into complicated things to remember the simpler ones. One of my friend's could calculate something like x^2+a-2by+ab^2 in almost an instant with his mind but used the calculator to calculate 3x7.

Dude, you need to clean up that equation.

To make sure I don't forget I re run over things from time to time and ask someone to check if it's correct.

(ab^2)+(x^2)-(2aby) = easier to read this way. Tell me if I had made a mistake. Trouble reading it.

Can't you just add X^2 and make the equation: (abx)^2-(2aby)?
Some basics I do forget. Usually the ones I do not re run over.

Might I add, once you understand something you never truly forget it. It will bury itself in your mind, but as soon as you see it again you will start to remember it all again.

True in the understanding part. But you really took that equation as a question? I had only randomely made an incomplete equation just for the "something like"
Anyways I wanted it to be (x^2) + (a-2by) + (ab^2).
Lets see if my mind has rotten and if I can find what x is.
(x^2) + (a-2by) + (ab^2) = N
(x^2) = N - (a-2by) - (ab^2)
hmm....
(x^2) = N - a[(1-2by/a) - (b^2)]
wait, why would I do that?
Bah. Forget it. Trying to find an answer for an uncomplete equation is stupid. Unless someone give me a good question on equations, I think I'll forget bout math until January.
