FINAL FANTASY the MOVIE
It's FINALLY OUT!
Well it's not released officially here in my realm though... (yet) But I saw the Latest Trailer at Reuters and CNN - It's AWESOME! Damn! Those Guys (the animators) are really a bunch of super NERD and GEEKS. I bet they had No life at all :fingers: eat software all days... Anyway - judging the animation, i think Shrek has the same animation Quality with FF MOVIE (Shrek was Orc and princess thing - while FF was Human thing) - still FF MOVIE looks too real for an animation ![]() But I cant wait to get my self a DVD of this movie

Hmmm... The Poster design was taken from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri's...
I always knew that Squaresoft was UNCreative

>i think Shrek has the same animation Quality with FF MOVIE
Though the CG in Shrek was quite good, comparing it to that of FF:SW is a bit shortsighted. While no attempts were made to have photo realistic characters in Shrek (and there was really no need to, after all, it's a fairy-tale, comic-type movie), its been Square's position all along that given the dramatic nature of the movie the characters must be as human like as possible. A short while ago (I'm not certain if it's still up) finalfantasy.com had a feature about how they needed to create a special piece of software just to have realistic *hair* so as to maintain the illusion of real people. So, as I said, trying to compare the CG of Shrek to FF is a rather incongruous argument.

Well,in fact if FF looks that realistic it's because the characters are real actors,Square is lying,it's not an animation movie.
Of course I don't have any proof and I don't believe what I said myself .

Rargh : Yes, i'm not a Fans of their games (although i played some - but never actually have full enjoy), i'm just giving some of my thoughts of the movie from a designer point of view, not as a gamer. - I Hate the Company
Cluthu, Raziel, and K : Offcourse, FF MOVIE cant be compared to Shrek. But As I said, The environment of Shrek (a true fantasy, orcs, talking donkey, and pigs) and FF MOVIE (real human situation) made you feel that FF MOVIE is more advance. But anyway, if you asking what movie use the most advance 3d technology(today), I should say : A.I , FF MOVIE, Shrek, and Mummy Returns. People have choices. - and so do I, a Squarehater (anyone a squarehater too? join the club!)Raziel : 1000+ post heh? and a 'real' Raziel avatar now

404, I totally respect ur opinion.
I m just anxious about one thing w/ square; The FF' s They seem to represent the future tactical business method of that company: Great graphics, and low stories. Perfect for the mass... When i see games like xenogears made by the same company (BTW, this team is w/ namco now), I can just question myself why it s in a decadent way. They ve got the money. So why would they make more money?(ok it s very stupid and pretty off-topic) They can just do better games than the previous ones. Remember the SNES time... Nearly all the Square games were (and are) good. Bye |

Remember what I said about Square being Uncreative?
well, some you may found on FF MOVIE: - Female main char. = why always long hair (although it's brown now) ? well atleast FF7, FF8 proves that. - The environment = some takes ideas from FF8 and 7 - The Movie Poster design = Sid meier's Alpha Centauri (with fewer people - and no aliens) c'mon! - The robots/foot soldiers = modified StormTroopers Ok, small review from me. I will find more Uncreative ideas - stay tuned!

It's already out (by the time i did the 1st post) but for the Premiere Show (you know, the stars, the animators, press reviewing and stuff). But if it's released for public tomorrow, then so be it.
That is what i got from Reuters/CNNi

Past Games/Old games are still the best (ok, the graphics may sucked compared to what you've seen today) but if you're asking about real gameplay, hours of fun, and the gamers rejoice, nothing can beat the old skool games. Imagine Super Mario Bros, FF1-6, DOOM, Duke Nukem 3D, ZeroType, etc....
