Anime

first of all i just started watching martian successor nadesico and love hina recently and i want to know if they had any sequels and how much episodes do they have. also if they had sequels, how many episodes did the sequels have.

and on a side note, i just watched the last episode of neon geneisis evangelion, and i was dazed and confused. how the hell did it tie into the movie?

thanks, that sorta sucks that the sequel to love hina only had 3 episodes.

nadesico was a funny series but the movie of it was confusing. how the hell did akito and yurika dissappear in the movie and how yurika ended up like that (frozen and able to bosom jump armies at
command). the series ended where everyone is okay and the movie starts where akito and yurika are missing.

anyway, neon genesis evangelion was confusing the whole way through. i sorta got the meaning, but the last 2 eps made me lost. and how the last ep ended with everyone congratulating shinji and when i watch the movie... lost the whole way through

just confusing.

Yeah, NGE is very confusing. The movie is an alternate ep 25/26 to NGE.
If you want some new anime, try Inu Yasha or Rurouni Kenshin.

Oh, so Eva got 2 alternate endings huh?
Well, to tell you the truth, Eva is the first anime that I didnt understand.

I gotta watch Eva Death N Rebirth then watch End of Eva to fully understand the ending right?

okay i just seen inuyusha eps 1-7, it was okay, the series is okay, but not as good as i thought from the creator of ranma. ranma is basically laugh at loud funny, while inu yusha is more serious. girl traveling through time by dropping into a well...

Inu Yasha is good, because it combines 3 things that I like: It has a little romance, plenty of fighting, and a good deal of humour.

Another Anime that confuses the heck out of you is Serial Experiments Lain and it only has 13 episodes, I would highly recomend it to anyone who can get their hands on it, although I wouldn't know how it would fare against Evangelion (in terms of confusion) since i haven't had the pleasure of seeing Evangelion.

I have watched Most of Rurouni Kenshin and all the OAVs, and I can honestly said, its very very good, and worth watching.

Some stuff coming down the fansub chain:

G-On Riders : Three extraordinary schoolgirls defend the earth from alien invaders. To do so, they wear special glasses that give them cool outfits and powerful weapons. Christians will appreciate one of the girls, a devout Christian, who turns into a nun-type character with a huge freakin' sword(tm). This series is by the same people who did Hand Maid May, and has healthy amounts of fanservice, and a guy who just wants to give a girl back her underwear.

UFO Princess Walkure : If you're a borderline pedophile, avoid this title, since it will push you over the edge. A beautiful woman crashes her spaceship into a public bath run by a young man, nearly killing him. For reasons unknown, she gives him half of her soul, and as a result, she is reduced to a small child in appearance and mind (she looks about 7). When trouble arises she kisses the guy (remember, she's SEVEN) and turns back to her original form for a short time. Fan service is moderate, cat girls are IN FORCE (and I need the CAT EAR gun in the worst way).

Ai Yori Aoshi : A very traditional young lady named Aoi goes to the city and finds her soulmate who she has been preparing her whole life for. Too bad nobody told Kaoru! Unlike alot of other anime, the male lead Kaoru is actually quite accepting of this extremely cute girl in a kimono who appears out of nowhere wanting to marry him, and is a nice enough guy that this couple seem destined for eternal happiness. Unfortunately her parents and guardian need to keep this a secret, so they are moved into a remote mansion and are watched over carefully. Throw in a bundle of female housemates with their own agendas, a love rival or two , and a wild American girl with a drinking problem who enjoys grabbing onto other women's.. yeah.. and it's fun all around. HEAVY fan service.

Ground Defense Force Mao-Chan : If Walkure didn't make you a pedo, this will. Three near kindergarden-age girls are chosen to defend the earth from "cute alien" invaders. Think Powerpuff Girls minus the superpowers and plus tanks, planes, subs, and magic wands. No fan service here, although the secretary/assistant lady for the General is a dead ringer for Love Hina's Narusegawa.

Chobits : Been out a while, up to episode 18 currently. Cram school student and farm hick Hideki finds a persocon, a robot, in the form of a beautiful girl lying in a pile of trash. Upon activating her, it becomes apparent she's not a normal persocon and seems way too human. This show addresses the idea of our obsession with machines and computers and how we sometimes become detached from the normal world as a result. One of the more fan servicey Clamp titles, but done in a cute way.

Azumanga Diaoh : Haven't seen it? SEE IT. My friends and I call it an anime version of Seinfeld. No real story, just the daily life of high school girls. Each character has a particular hangup or trait that they play off each other really well. It's cute, fan servicey, has a really disturbing yet honest teacher guy (the only recurring male character in the show) and an english teacher who reminds me of my old Japanese teacher.

Ahh.. I haven't been keeping up with other series' like .hack sign which didn't look all that good to me, but I'm told it's getting better. I gave up on InuYasha somewhere around episode 35, my friend said he's up to ep.81 or so now. Way too much for that series, I think.

One good/bad thing is the speed this stuff is getting licensed. Full Metal Panic didn't even get 1/2 way into it's 26 episode run when blam, it got picked up for American release. Chobits is picked up as well. InuYasha is not only picked up, I SAW a dubbed episode at Otakon (they used the Hamtaro voice cast, it's AWFUL). It's apparently been picked up for Cartoon Network as well. Adult Swim is gonna need more than 2 nights a week I think!

@gamer1: just watch the alternate ending called "death and rebirth" i know noone who can explain me the last two episodes... they really confused me too... death and rebirth still has an open ending but it's better than any episode... this one really rocks... and it's a bit more for the mature people... you will se it after the first 5 minutes what i mean... and you get to see asuka's ti**y

edit: sorry it's not called death and rebirth.... death and rebirth's just a compendium of all the nge films (but in my opinion not THAT good..) the real name's "End of Evangelion" a really GREAT movie i'm gonna post some pics...

edit2: REEEEAALLY blooooooddy =)

BLASPHEMY!
Power rangers! What are you taking. The only similarity I can see is the huge robots, and considering that's a big HJap thing anyway, I can't see the connection.
@DarkShin: I didn't really like Lain. It was confusing, but it didn't engage me like Eva.
