If your bored answer this riddle:
"Runs over fields and woods all day Under the bed at night sits not alone, With long tongue hanging out, A-waiting for a bone."

I would say a Shoe.
Did you know? Despite the known risks, manufacturers of radium-based health foods and drinks did a brisk business in the US up until the 1930s. There was a radium water (one New York company claimed to supply it to 150,000 customers), toothpaste, face cream, hair tonic, and even a popular radium soft-drink endorsed by amateur golf champion, Eben Byers, who drank two miniture bottles of it everyday. His jaw decayed rapidly and he died of anaemia within a few years. |

Radium is a highly radioactive element. Back in the early 1900's it was painted on stuff to make it glow in the dark, like watch faces, and clocks. Nobody thought that maybe the whole "glowing in the dark" thing was BAD, so a whole lot of people got cancer (mainly the factory workers who painted the radium onto stuff, and Eben Byers up there).
