Online I normally use Amazon.co.uk for games software. If you mean a street store, then there is very little difference, try Electronics Boutique, HMV, Virgin, anywhere in fact that's not PC World :mg:
Or you can get used games at Computer Exchange, the older ones tend to be pretty cheap. |

http://www2.cex.co.uk/default.asp
I've never ordered online from them, but the site is great for seeing what used stock they've got in other stores. They are very helpful when it comes to moving that stock to somewhere nearer

I used to use Simply, but they seem to be more expensive nowadays than e.g. www.dabs.com or http://www.watford.co.uk/.
Both the above companies I dealt with while acquiring my GF4 card. I initially ordered it from dabs, who had specified that it was a VIVO (video in/out) model on their site. When the card arrived I discovered there was no video in function - there were 2 options of the (ABit) model that I had ordered and this was the wrong one. I emailed their tech support and within a day was told that they had made a mistake and did not stock the video input model. The nearest they could offer was an Asus card with 3D glasses, I didn't want the glasses but would have taken the card if they'd offered £20 off. They didn't, but my credit card was refunded within a week, and they picked up the return when they said they would. Meanwhile, I see a MSI card on Watford, looking at MSI's website video input is again an option, so I email Watford for clarification. Next day I get a reply saying that no, it doesn't support VI but would you like to buy this Gainward card (at a competetive price) and here's £10 off! Well guess what I've got now... In summary, both of the above companies were a pleasure to do business with, I would recommend them to anyone in the UK. |
