There is always the option of a face transplant....which I'm sure she has enough money to do. Then she'll be ugly and blind but its ways better than her current situation.

I didn't know a chimp could do that either, but they said this chimp is about 200lbs. That's a little more than how much I weigh. TBH, I didn't think a chimp could get that big. I could understand a gorilla doing equivalent or worse damage though.

With a gorilla, she would be dead by now. Me too, I really thought only gorillas could do such damages. This is really impressive, so much I smell some fakeness. Damn, it's like, her face is completely boneless...

...forget the chimp, or the face...

Which doctor rearranged her face? Looks like he was just randomly patching it the way it was after the attack. Can't even see her mouth...

No... actually, how the **** does she eat with such a face? I really can't see her mouth anywhere? Or does she take food in some other way?

By injection?

I'm just very curious about whether or not she will ever get her actual face back (or at least a portion of her face).

No, because I like the taste of meat.

Question.
If you had been run over by a car, broken your leg, would it be okay if your parents had you put down, because you were in so much pain?

Uhm, broken leg? That pain is temporary, and in a few months you'll forget it happened. This woman's face is going to adversely effect her life negatively for as long as she lives.

She doesn't care, and that's all that matters. No one has the right to take a life.

How can a chimp do that level of damage? A gorilla, yes. But a chimp? =\

Apparently chimpanzees are stronger than an adult human male... i didn't even knew this.

How strong is a chimpanzee, really? - By John Hawks - Slate Magazine

So let's say a raged chimpanzee have the strenght of an adult human bodybuilder on steroids, and the poor victim was an old woman... yep, not much she could do about it.

What happened to her sucks but that's life.

I didn't know these Chimps were that strong, aren't they smaller in size than the average human?

I feel sorry for the lady, it tore her face up bad to the point where there is no nose, eyes or mouth. How does she breath, I presume she needs a trachea to breath. Can she still talk at all, other than her face was she mentally incapacitated from the incident?

Chimps apparently have the ability to make use of a higher % of their muscle capability.

Hell if we were chased by bears all the time, we'd be able to throw them about.

If you have ever seen David Attenborough's documentary about chimpanzee's it is quite obvious how strong and vicious they are. Seeing a whole pack of chimps chase down a rogue male and beat him to death, caving in his chest, face and ripping him apart, it makes you wonder this woman is even alive right now.

TYT is not a news channel btw and they aren't news anchors. More like commentators than anything. They are more a radio show with a youtube channel. I thought they were pretty respectful of the victim but one of them made a comment about Oprah's weight at the end.

well after reading that article i learned the chimp was actually a pet of some 70 y/o woman, and the victim was her friend.

this is a pretty great reason why big wild animals should not be allowed as pets.
common sense says not to have something stronger than you as your pet.

also according to this article:
Family of chimp attack victim seeks $50 million - CNN.com

it seems that the family of the victim is suing the chimp's owner for $50 million.

normally i think most lawsuits where people sue for millions is unjustified; but i don't think anybody would trade their eyes, nose, face, and hands for $50 mil...

seems the 70 y/o chimp owner owns a lot of property and a used car dealership; so she doesn't seem to be a poor-old lady.

What do you guys expect? They hop around and swing on tree branches with one arm while chewing on a banana. You need some major elbow grease to do that. Heck I don't think I could swing just one branch with both my arms using full muscle strength and they do it without breaking a sweat.

Humans have a pretty bad power:weight ratio in the animal kingdom.
