Had one of each...hotmail kept on being gay and chucking all my stuff every once in a while (not just through the monthly inactivity reset). Was fairly happy with Yahoo but damn was I ever glad when a kind soul at the GMail swap site (yes, GMail accounts used to be invite only and the GMail Swap Site was set up to facilitate the trading of invites) invited me and I have never looked back.
