![]() That's how I see it... But due to rules I leave it at that ![]() I don't care what you think so don't start discussing it, ok?

Actually, the image is wrong as well. Piracy == All your boats are belong to us Making unauthorized copies == Copyright infringement

Like this: ![]() ![]() But seriously, I think world is going to hell because of copyrights, like the german company trying to copyright the "!" sign... Didn't work though.

Much better. And I agree with you about copyright, even though a free for all wouldn't be ideal either in this transition period. It's just that the big companies can't keep up with the new technology despite having had 10 years to anticipate the opportunities and threats of the internet... Right now they're forcing the out of date standards on customers and it isn't working. If there was a pirate party in my country it'd get my vote, unless they'd have some BS points on other topics of course.

I've tried to stay apart from these discussions since they tend to end ugly, but in this case gamefreak has a point. The point that bittorrent, despite every single deficiency that Spyhop may come with, is becoming a de facto standard. In the same way we are still using IPv4 instead of IPv6, or the reason private wireless networks have used WEP for all this years. In the end it comes down to what people actually use, not the ideal protocol 'x' or 'y'. So does bittorrent sucks? Maybe, maybe not, I won't comment in the issue. Does it matter? You are stuck with it for years to come, so you might as well use your time in something more constructive, like promoting a viable alternative (which usenet isn't,or FTP or IRC for what matters, I'm talking about an alternative the millions of users of bittorrent can move to without crashing the whole system). For example, for WEP we have people actively promoting WPA and other, more secure wireless LAN security standards as a viable and real alternative.
