Well, hopefully we don't get another project lead like the one who totally screwed up Halo in the first place. It's amazing how someone who constantly changes everything every few months could have such a job at Bungie anyway... ![]() I still say Halo 1 was the best either way. @strike, yeah, I'm aware of that. But I'm still glad that my resume actually got looked at. I heard there's usually a screening process for applications to game dev companies that filter out poorly written cover letters and resumes. I put a lot of effort into making it look good (and my last cover letter didn't get me s@#%!!) so this is still a big thing for me even to get a response at the least. Either way, I did get another reply and they are actually going to keep and consider my resume (which is great because majority of even the most qualified people don't make it).

Best of luck man! You of all people know the workings of systems and I'm sure you have the skills to back up your claims. Just be specific to the guys and perhaps steer in the direction of getting a personal meeting to perhaps show some project in person. It never hurts being bold in applications, it can get you a long way

Actually, shouldn't we withhold our congratulations given that the mail only showed an interested, but confused person asking for clarification? ![]() Well, I guess it's a start...

Thanks everyone. In the mean time, I'll be accepting this offer for game QA, since there is no guarantee for that position. Orientation starts tomorrow in Redmond, WA, USA. From what I was told, I'll be working with some people working with something Xbox Live related. Not sure exactly what I'll be doing because companies prefer to keep certain projects confidential (the first Halo prototypes were written 1997, but weren't shown until 1999, remember that?) so who knows what it is. Either way, I'm just glad I'm doing something I truly enjoy for a living! Moving back to Washington, USA is the best decision I've made in my natural life... so whether I'm programming Halo, or testing it for bugs, I'm not making any complaints! @Proto, I did get a response after a few revisions on my resume. They are keeping my resume for the Halo team consideration still. Still not a guarantee of a job, but like I said, considering most people never get this far, it's worth celebrating!
