I'll agree that everyone has desires for others, but the reasons may differ. It may be because they want love (physical or otherwise), company, help through life (two people can more easily live than one can in some ways), a family, etc. Just because some may choose not to, for whatever reasons, doesn't mean there is something "wrong" with them.

As for me, I'm in a relationship, and while I could say it does have the quality of adding to make me feel complete, that's not the, or even a major, reason for it. I wouldn't feel any less a person without another. Instead I'd feel like I lost something (but not a part of myself). If I suddenly lost her, I wouldn't go find someone else just for the sake of it. It'd also have to be because I love them.

Study after scientific study after scientific study show that hormones effect the way the brain develop and function.

Men and womens brains do operate differently. Women have more synaptic connections linking their 2 hemisphere's while men overall have more brain cells (long story short, more connections or more cells, does NOT mean one is smarter than the other). Behavioral differences can also be witnessed in the every single species in the animal kingdom between sexes.

Funny thing is there is this sexually/politically charged movement within Sociology that has sprung up in the last decade or 2 driven pretty much entirely by women which gives utter disregard to Endocrinology (study of hormones) and biology. Some of them say that men and women are exactly the same behaviorally, and every iota of difference can be attributed to cultural programming.

Studies on the disastrous gender reprogramming experiments in the past 50 years disprove that. As do anecdotal examples of what steroids (synthetics testosterone) and current hormone therapies do to people behaviorally. Another example what the effects castration and testicular cancer can do to individuals, and how that changes them behaviorally.

But when you create a baby, the baby is better off with a family than a single parent or two people living together.

Sure people (consenting adults) have the right to screw each other with impunity, but if a female becomes pregnant, vacuuming out the fetus and discarding it like garbage, or irresponsibly keeping the baby outside of a family is wrong. Society pays a great price for people's immature handling of sexuality, broken families, welfare, jails, there are a lot of severe consequences to sex outside of marriage and our culture pays the price.
