It's from one of the OAV... the 4th OAV I believe...not in the series. Lord Slug is from Namek as well, looking for the Dragon Ball trying to restore his youth (and thus power)

I'm not sure how a network can butcher a show that was intended for six-year-olds.

That and butcher the script. On the other hand, it's not like the original is flawless.

I agree, there are even characters that have no name or doesn't make any difference in the plot (when there's one)

Don't forget the 50,000 episode battles. It's one thing to have a long and drawn out battle; battles that take a long time just to take a long time are annoying. Refer to The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Yep. People don't sit there for three hours talking to each other in between hits. Just doesn't happen.

If I wanted to see blood everywhere, I'd play the Mortal Kombat series.

Hmmm, good point. But that anime had only two points in common among the episodes.
1- They were twisted
2- They were set in a post-apocalyptical world.

The blood was...blood. Not that weird big drops of blood that are in the MK series. And no one has more than 6 liters of blood.

I'd rather be pinched with a kubhasa

And it's not only the blood that's appealing in there.
