I don't really care for either so I could not give two hoots which was written first, I was merely explaining to Ozz that sometimes people just to make/write prequels...it's not abnormal.

I know, I felt I needed to clarify what I said though because you said everyone thinks so.

Oh right ok thanks for that. I was reading a bit of the Da vinci code and it made some reference to the Vatican, and I was like wtf, that's the second book lol

Absolutely superb series so far. The plot is complex and interesting, there's no main character, all the characters are well written and dynamic, and the author has a talent for keeping the reader on his/her toes. There's no predictability to be had in his books. This is the last one out so far. I'll be anxiously awaiting the next installment.
I actually just finished this a few hours ago. What can I say, I can feel the desperation of those who have been waiting for the next installment since 2005.

'The Tyler Digest'

A compendium of practical information based around technical social dynamics detailing both implementation and how to develop your character as you inevitably become the most powerful person in any situation.

I'm loving the sections on congruence and how to reverse the frame of people dismissing you because they're intimidated by perceived inferiority. I hope it will help me get shy Hazel from work.

Because any collection of computer science textbooks would be incomplete without it. The third edition would be out in September, by the way.

Just started:

I love James Swain; I'm a sucker for noir. His Tony Valentine novels are a kind of "casino noir". Gripping stuff.

Well, that is like the bible for algorithm analysis courses. If you are a computer science student you will necessarily encounter it along the way. Just like the dragon book for compilers.
