Skore, is it true that Shia's character really did visit Robot Heaven?

Let The Right One In: 6/10

Not one of my favorite movies. I saw it to see what the hype was about that was surrounding this film. I saw nothing too special about it. Sure, there was a cute storyline about how the bullied kid falls in love with girl vampire. But I was just longing for more through out the whole movie. All it did was give me more blood. Even though I doubt it, I am really hoping that the American version of this film turns out to be better.

The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas: 10/10

Powerfully good film. Note: do not watch if you are having a bad day. Sure, the kid factor was adorable, but it also made the film more disturbing. It was detailed about the Holocaust and the experiences. Not exactly a feel good film and yes, the ending is not happy go lucky. I recommend this film though to anyone that wants to enjoy a good movie experience. However, just don't watch it if you get disturbed easily and such (like I said, talks about the Holocaust and it does not sugar coat it at all). Though I may not see this film again, it was a great experience.

Battle Royale: 8/10

This was a movie our dear Pickle recommended me. This film stirred up a lot of controversy with Japan and it's government being totally evil. The film did bring up an interesting point and was amazingly done and it makes you THINK. That was probably the best thing in this film for me. What would I really do in a situation like that? My only regret is that I wish it went into further detail about how the Japanese government turned into a corrupt system. Other than that, a very good film.

Eh..
I thought that movie was decent, but there wasn't much substance to it IMO.
Spoiler:
The whole movie can be retold in a few sentences: Boy moves next to concentration camp, boy meets boy at concentration, becomes friend with boy. Boy sneaks in with boy to help boy find his father who had already been killed, both boys die in gas chamber

The rest of it was just crappy filler. I'd give it 6/10.

Ig, you can re-tell any movie like that.

Robots come from another planet to seek the thing that created them. They fight over control of it. In the end, the good robots win.

Well yeah sure, but I'm just saying that the other parts of the movie seem completely unimportant / unentertaining, unlike some other movies were the 'nonimportant' parts are at least entertaining.

Hopefully you won't see it either of you - in my opinion it suffers from what i usually call "the classical sucky-sequel"-sickness

Seven Pounds: 7/10

I watched this movie at 2 AM after being woken up 3 hours earlier. I don't know if that affected my opinion for the movie or whatnot because I was tired and irritable. But I did not like this movie. I love Will Smith as an actor and I decided to give this movie a try. In my opinion, this movie has a great storyline. The characters ruined it for me. Here's an example of what I thought:

Spoiler:
I thought that Tim (aka Ben throughout most of the film) was a selfish man. He had killed seven people including his fiance a year prior. To atone for his sins, he goes out to search for seven people and donate things to them (mainly organs). To me, it didn't seem like he wanted to really help people, but to just donate things to relieve his guilt. The part that really bothered me was when Emily and him sleep together and they tell each other they love one another. He even toys with the idea of marriage and children with her.

Then he kills himself to give her his heart. That is a great and honorable thing. But I think I would rather be with someone I love (talking about Emily's point of view) for just a few months, if that, rather than to live my entire life without the person I love.

I'm surprised that Emily was not more upset about this fact. That really bothered me. But I think I'm just biased based on my own experiences.

And that's the only part that really bothered me. ^^;

Agreed. 3 wasn't too bad, I think they told the judgement day story pretty well. I have yet to see Salvation...but I'll probably end up disappointed.

And looks like I'll have to skip this Depp movie...I haven't heard good things about it in the paper or from friends yet.
