Planet Terror

Zombie flicks are generally awesome no matter what, but Planet Terror takes the genre back to the exploitive nature of grindhouse cinema from days gone by. Zombies that are truly hideous and which tend to explode upon shooting or running them over, decapitations, limb removal, sexy babes, senseless violence, dodgy film quality this film has it all in spades and is a brilliant tribute to the days of cinema when censorship was only a concept, not a reality.

9.4/10

Brilliant stuff

That was an awesome movie. One of my favorites. The other one, Death Race, wasn't all too good. Only the death scene and the ending. Most of that particular movie consisted of boring ass dialogue. Planet Terror was absolutely awesome though.

I agree about Death Race, didn't hold my attention too well. I laughed my ass off at how during the 'intimate' scene, when the film went all stretched and decayed, then the next minute the circumstances had changed so drastically, I was like WTF? But I couldn't stop laughing. This movie is now on my favorites list. Too damn awesome.

Everytime I meet someone who hasn't read the book or watched the movie yet, I tell them to avoid the movie like the plague and just stick with the books.

Yes, but there is more to it then that
It just that it takes me ages to read a full book due to the fact I am a slow reader!

Plus OFTEN when I read I get to the end of a page I can't remember a word of what I just read! So I feel I should read the page again!

I have sat down and read a few Stephen King novels though! IT was incredible. And I read The green mile when it was a set of 6 books that was released to newsagents each month! Still remember quite well what the thrill was like waiting for each book in that set!
