its more likely to be poor circulation from your butt downwards or a trapped nerve than diabeties. If you have a hypo from diabeties you will know about it, your whole body will go weak, not just a foot lol.

If you smoke, prolly a good time to give up.

Well...I am basically on the verge of diabetes thanks to my high insulen resistance...double what a normal person should be...which is also the cause of me being overweight as the little sugar I take in my body can't burn off...so exercising is pointless as I would have to exercise like 8 times as much as normal person in order to lose about half of what they would lose in a much shorter period...but I am taking tablets now to rememdy that insulen resistance...so hopefully that will get sorted out.
I never got fat cuz I was lazy...I became lazy cuz I became fat...I was basically not able to be as active as I was before....once I see the insulen resistance decreasing pills taking effect then I will go back to exercising but at the moment it's pointless...

I agree with ref though, like he said, it's most likely just a pinched or trapped nerve causing the numbness...I get that as lot as well then as soon as I stand up or move my foot/leg to a better position I get full circulation back within a few seconds...and then "pins 'n needles" >_< before my leg returns to normal.

"BURN IN HELL, GABRANTH" Vane Solidor XII

Do that everytime you open your fridge or go to grab something sweet to eat.
In your case
"BURN IN HELL,*place high fructose item here"."
Think about how you could be saving it for the morrow. I'm not overweight.........but I got stretch marks on one my arms for falling asleep with my arm leaning on the wall. The STRETCH MARKS ARE EFING HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(offtopic much!).

The best diet (as said on "The Man Show") is simply.

STOP EATING SO MUCH
PUT DOWN THE FORK. IT BECKONS YOU TO HELL!!!!!!!!!!

Right, I've not read everything here, just the first few posts but I think it's time for a reality check.

Firstly, I am a diabetic so I can tell you this from 25 years of experience.

Signs of untreated diabetes- the most obvious are a raging constant thirst, feelings constantly tired, loosing weight rapidly and going to the toilet all the time (the liquid just goes straight through you).

People who develop type two diabetes tend to have a history of being overweight so I think it is pretty unlikely you have Type 2 John! Diabetes is also hereditary so if it is in your family you have a more likely chance of getting it.

Numb feet is not an initial symptom of diabetes it can be a product of it over several years as the circulation system can be affected by years of diabetes. Numb feet is generally a sign of poor circulation. Best treatment is a better diet and more excercise. Diabetics can get bad feet after many years of poorly treated diabetes as the circulation is likely to be poorer than most due to years of added pressure on the heart etc from high or low sugar levels, this can lead to numb feet and even in some cases gangrene. I've been diabetic for a long time and the only time I get slightly numb feet is when I haven't been looking after myself too well or I haven't been getting much excercise.

Hope this reassures you a bit more. If it is just numb feet get off your backside and exercise your heart more!!
