He's supposed to have a rough voice. It's supposed to portray a darker character, intimidate people, and disguise bruce wayne's voice. It makes way more sense.

Oh I know he's meant to disguise his voice, I just wish it didn't sound as if he wanted to fill his Bat-Nappy.

it IS kind of a funny movie, but I don't think the actual parts that are funny were intended to be =P

The Burton Batman's weren't bad, but they weren't like the comic. But more like Burton's vision of it. One thing is for sure, the artistic direction of the Burton Batman's were phenomenal. They were really really good.

I liked the first Burton movie, the second has the honour of being the first movie I ever turned off by myself (I tend to sit through a movie, as crappy as it is).

that wasn't.
Looks like Arnie was having a blast himself while "acting" in that movie..... aaaand, Alicia Silverstone used to be pretty popular up to that point....

I think I still like Keaton in the role the best but Bale does an ok job.

Anyway, it's really all about the baddies in those movies anyway! And the butler of course.

Totally agree with you 100%. I actually was not a fan of Jim Carrey up to that point and then I realised I could actually enjoy his performances. I was glad for this cos I gave the Truman Show a chance and really enjoyed it.
I was takin the piss with Clooney, i never liked him as batman, Keaton was best, and Kilmer did an alright job.

As long as Bale keeps up those moments where you would think you were watching Keaton, he'll do ok as batman. I think the biggest reason for protest is because he isn't Keaton, and they are basically resetting the entire batman saga to coincide with the Comic, if you all remember, Jack, ala Joker, was the person who killed the waynes in the first movie, taking it completely out of line with the true history of batman.

Hmm. i want to go see dark Knight, but im unsure of if i want to see ledger like that.... it might be a good performance, but it'd suck for his life to end with that performance as his last....

Well, there is ONE more movie coming out in a little while that he was in, albeit he didn't play all the roles he was supposed to.

Finally decided to to out by myself and watch it (all friends are out of town for the summer ).

Wow, it really did exceed my expectations. Ledger was pro. He easily stole the show. He was perfect for the Joker. Insane but logical at the same time.

Man, those script writers are geniuses. They focused on the dark part of humans. Showed us just how complex and simple we can be at such critical moments. I can't wait for the next one. Only shame of course being Ledger never again appearing

R.I.P dude.

P.S.
They better give him the Oscar. All his parts literally had me on the edge of my seat in the theater, and I've done that probably just twice in my lifetime.

They were possibly planning to make joker a reoccurning villian in the movie series since they didn't kill him off, after all he is batmans's arch nemesis.

To bad

SPOILER: Highlight text to view.
I would preferred the dark knight to be more Shakespearean and tragic particularly with the fall of Harvey dent. Instead of just his soon to be fiancee being killed I would have liked it more if he was a family man already and his wife and 3 kids died in the explosion. Then batman saving Harvey would show him as more cold and calculating doing whats best for the city instead of saving some innocent kids lives (sacrificing the individual for the greater good of the group, after all he is a 'Dark' knight )(also it would add some more tragedy and realism to the fall of harvey)

Just saw it last night. Pretty good, they had oppurtunitys to make it more epic though. It was a shame about Ledger, but then again why so serious?

Seems this is a must see movie.
Will go to my local theater to see it.
And sorry for being offtopic, but what about hancock by Will Smith, is it worthy of going to the theater for it?
Do not flame me for mentioning that in the same thread as Batman.

Great movie indeed. Also exceeded my expectations however i did think some parts felt weird. Like the one with the two boats.

Joker as a magician was EPIC

Hancock: Not worth the movie ticket. Wait for DVD.
