I've given a look to that NGE manga, it seems to be yet another one focusing on a different version of the story, another one of the "alternate universe" or some such.
In the third chapter there's a character who pretty much confirms it by saying something very similar to what was said in previous versions/the end of the original Anime. Anyway, the manga looks kinda nice, I like the art style who seems pretty darn good. "Yet another one" kinda removes the novelty from it, but as long as they manage to keep it interesting, it can be good. 7hours later edit : I just saw, there's three mangas (AFAIK), the original one (who closely follow the original story), Angelic Days (the one I first thought about, who seems to be based on the alternate universe shown in the Anime) and the one you talked about and that I saw yesterday (the new one). Man, why doesn't someone already serialize Karakuri Circus and start releasing it?!?! I know it's old, but it's by Kazuhiro Fujita, probably one of the most influential mangaka of all time. It's a crime they haven't licensed Karakuri Circus and Ushio and Tora yet!!!
/sends angry email to all NA manga distributors

I've been reading
Tales of Innocence(not hentai even though the name sounds like it Rather strange but interesting )Fairy Tail(rather nice, even though there are lot similarities to 666 Satan, like the fact that lucy looks like adult version of ruby...) Black Lagoon(there's also anime version... Many of you have seen that propably. I haven't )Blue Dragon(not sure if these belong to the name but "Ral Grado" the names of the main character Ral and the dragon Grado...) Bad Company(prequel to Great Teacher Onizuka or GTO) |

Need to give this thread another deserved bump.
Read the first few chapters of Monster Hunter Orage and there's definitely a huge resemblance to Fairy Tale. Yes yes, I know it's by the same mangaka, but the way the story's going and the characters...it's like a mirror of Fairy Tale. We'll see how it goes.

One conclusion:this mangaka is very healthy.yeah, way healthy. He's working like a machine, which is a good indication for me to read more manga
![]() On the track with people I've just completed Ai Kora.A big disapoint to the mangaka of Midori no hibi. The story keep downgrade with the volumes.Even the ending is totally ridiculous and unacceptable.A total opposite with Fairy Tail.Just hoping To love-ru not go this way.

Is Fairy Tail actually good?
I read it a little, but I find it lacking in originality... It kinda felt as if a lot of elements of the story were borrowed from previous popular series. Dunno, it just didn't strike me as original, it gets better?

Is any series nowadays really original
? I bet if you really looked, you'll find one or a few series that are similar.Meh, it's the typical adventure shonen manga. I wasn't expecting too much after reading Groove Adventure Rave. More polished art wise, but story wise I was expecting something like that, so I'm not highly disappointed ![]() *Edit Oh yeah, Inuyasha is f'ing finally coming to an end. Last chapter should be out next week. Thank god, I was thinking of emailing Rumiko in complete Romanji and sounding like a raving lunatic.

I really like Fairy Tail... Well, I haven't really read much manga but I tought it was pretty good. Okay the ideas aren't very fresh but it has its good points... How long did you read it?I started reading biomega, man that manga is dark... I'll read it more to make a better opinion, so far its not bad but nothing special either... |

Rurouni Kenshin, Inu-yasha (Lord of Darkness, 2 chapters left~), Gantz and Macross Trash are pretty much badass...well, Gantz was great but they've been on the same mission for a year and a half now, still good though~.
