I think there is no such a thing called "save oc level", every card has its own limitation i think.

Whats the point of 3d2001 anyway....Everyone knows its biased towards Nvidia cards anyway..As long as my games run fast I dont care what mark I get, take my old Radeon64 I got 3600ish last time I ran it (many months ago) but all my games run at very decent FPS with little or no slowdown at the resolution I prefer to play at 1280x1024.
Fair enough its quite good for using to see what effects various tweaks have to your score (messing with your FSB/overclocking your card etc)
I see K.I.L.E.R gets 12000 odd and thats a very impresive score does this mean you get 4x the performance of my card or summat as if so Im sure its great playin Quake3 or whatever with 200 frames a sec but whats the point of that as with the 70fps I get there is no or very little visable slowdown any way...
Oh K.I.L.E.R can you please post your compare url here as I would like to see the details of it thanx.....
edited a spelling mistake.......

Yes me thinx u dreaming a bit with that score killer plz feel free to prove me wrong if you can...
Heres the top scores I could find and unless you are a very very serious overclocker with acsess to loads of hardware to screen it and find the best parts then I very much doubt you would beat all these scores....

Actually, the highest score obtained in 3DMark2001 is with a Radeon 8500. I don't know the exact score but you can check it up on Mad Onion's web site. Either he customized his benchmark in a certain way or he's lying. There's no way he'd reach that score with the default benchmark.

All at 640x480? Pff.. We need some type of default settings.. Who really plays PC games at that resolution? At that resolution, the system CPU is being more worked.. So in actuallity, that is mostly a CPU test.. The faster your CPU, the higher your score... Benchmarking at higher resolutions is where the video cards start showing it's true power..

fivefeet8: exactly.... those 640x480x16 3DMark2001 scores don't prove anything. Show me scores using the default benchmark (or higher; try 1280x1024x32bit), then we'll talk.

The top score in 3dMark2k1 is holded by a webmaster who seriously moded his mobo and GeForce 3 Ti 500(water cooling at -48°!!!! + increased voltage on both video card and CPU,with some real intensive overclocking!).
He got something aroun 100xx,but unless you're really the best tweaker in the world with a gift for overclocking to nuts,I don't think you're score is real.
(Oh! And if anyone sees him again in this thread, call me )

This is not a 3DMark2001 but 3DMark2000 that maybe interesting.

My friend benchmark his PC (Xeon III 550 MHz + Matrox G200) and he got over 15000. Yes Five teen with three zero.
