Earthquake!

Well that was bloody weird...here in little old England, just prior to 1am, we had an Earthquake! Not much news about it yet on TV, but I could hear this distant rumbling and the ground shock ever so slightly and thought "oh big lorry going by the house", then the ground just went crazy jumpy, stuff fell down in the kitchen, my monitor wobbled, and stuff clattered about upstairs!

Seems I was near the epicenter according to the USGS, 4.7 on the scale!

You guys are lucky.

America is one giant natural disaster.

With all the Earthquakes, Presidents, and Volcanoes, we're screwed.

Yeah it's rare for an island to be hit by an eartquake (all be it a giant island)...we occasionaly get some tremors here (not in my lifetime yet though) in SA, but that's just when a part of the coastline (or what do you call land that just continues under the water for a few Ks and then suddenly stops and there you get the propper ocean all deep and dangerous? ) breaks off and falls into the depths never to be seen again

Its rare for an island to get earthquakes??? Japan???

Luckily I live on bedrock so there really are no earthquakes here, well minor but even those are rare.

Here in London I felt it, alright. I was sitting around with my dad in living room talking and stuff and suddently the sofa started to vibrate. At first i though it was some fat lorry driving past but after the 3rd push I knew it was something else. My dad's wtf face = priceless. No damages or anything although people near the epicenter had chimneys falling off.

Brazil have experienced some last year too... far from my place though. But it's weird, looks like no one is ever fully protected against ground shaking.

Northpole is...

But I'd actually want to feel earthquake one day... Too bad they're so damn rare here, and weak...
@phil, earthquakes in england are rare so moving there now would be stupid as it shouldn't be happening again any time soon(although I know you were joking) if you really wanted to feel earthquakes you should move to japan or new zealand(these are countries I'd be ready to move) or any country on the ring of fiah!!!
