What's up with NullDC + controllers?

Why is it almost downright f'king impossible to get a pad working with this piece of crap emulator? I am using a Sony PSX pad with a USB converter. What input plugin am I supposed to be using and how do I get it working? I have been trying now for 3 hours straight and gotten nowhere at all. I would have thought the most basic things were worked out first with any emulator, but NullDC is proving to be completely awful in every way. THEY NEED TO MAKE IT UNDERSTANDABLE AND EASY TO CONFIGURE. I am very disappointed. Sorry for the rant but I had to vent.

Then how about you code an emulator better than it? Oh right. You just want to insult the one who is taking his free time to make it? Right, like you care. You don't want to use your brain it seems.

Bashing the emulator cause you can't figure something out that only took myself and everyone else minutes to accomplish. Maybe if you do a search here or read some docs, you would find your answer easily. But instead, you chose this course which should lead to your banning.

Works fine for me, be sure to select the "NullDC Joystick" plugin, though Joy2Key should work too with the keyboard plugin.

I am not sure, but I think the joystick plugin wasn't included until the recent beta releases (1.5+).

Shadow0000 -- thanks, you are very kind.

Everyone else, look -- the information available for setting up NullDC is not great. Simple as that. Well done for taking only minutes to set it up. Have a cigar! For some of us this thing is just not working and it can be extremely frustrating.

Don't get so serious! I am here asking for help! BTW, the emulator isn't letting me play DC games on the PC. Yet. I'll get it working though, with your great help, of course.

PS: Got the pad working. I don't even know how. Now I'm making DiscJuggler images of some games and it keeps landing me on the audio CD screen. hmmm...

heheh, you need to DUMP your images in BIN/CUE format, and then use BIN2BOOT to make them selfbootable in order for them to work.
Or it will be easier if you just download readily made selfbootable versions of those games.
And since you have legal copies, downloading them from the web won't be illegal

Now ain't that nice....

I suppose that you'd ask where to download games from... That's a NO NO, and answering to such a question is a NO NO too... But let me give you a hint:

Enough of this. Downloading games is illegal either if you own the game or not.
And zeox... enough with the hints on how to obtain illegal material.
