You might have to wait longer than you think. Both NAOMI carts and GD-ROMs are protected. So you have to work around 2 protection schemes. Add the lack of documentation to that and you have a big fat problem...

drkIIraziel, you are at kotaku news!

Quote:
An enterprising chap by the name of drkIIRaziel has apparently gotten Sega's Naomi arcade bios running on an emulator of its parent-system, the Dreamcast. Which means that, should you be the (highly) enterprising type to be able to test this out, you'll feasibly soon be able to run the arcade versions of stuff like Marvel v Capcom 2, Ferrari F355 Challenge and Ikaruga on your PC. Good times? Good times.

Uhm, that info is slightly missleading, there was no cracking (or hacking) of the bios at all, i just had to edit some (small) parts of the existing code to get it running (and as i said before, nullDC isnt the first emulator to do this, chankast had done it quite a bit ago too). Before any games start to run they have to be dumped, and i need to find a dimm/gdrom board (and/or information about it) for gdrom emulation. Also, someone must translate the JVS documentation from jap so i can properly implement input ( http://www.jamma.or.jp/siryou/siryou02/JVST_VER3.pdf if anyone is interested )

Anyway, i edited the first post with a vid from vs2 2k

According to The Guru's ROM Dump News - Naomi Dump Status only two games are completely dumped:

Virtua Striker 2 Ver. 2000
Cosmic Smash

And from others only EPR (EPROMs?) is dumped, not the main data roms, right?
