in shenmue, when I see a photo in the drawers or see the map of the city, I cannot return to the game.
Im using the nulldc joystick and the chanka's video plugin to play Edit: the problem is in the nulldc joystick plugin, i change it to the nulldc controller and works fine Last edited by leoman; December 9th, 2007 at 04:51. |

I'm playing Skies of Arcadia and I'm about 8 hrs 22 min in, just after the coliseum rescue in valua. i'm walking through the catacombs and suddenly the sound freezes, I went into battle, the sound didn't change, then afte about 2 seconds my screen goes black. I'm using the nullPVR video with the Image reader and null aica sound, nullDC controller winhook maple controller, 2 vmu's in all ports and the ext decive plugin.
video settings at: res 800X600 ratio: borders textures: versioned sort: triangle volumes: normal audio is at sync ext device at lan adapter. I'm using an Athlon XP 2600 with 1GB RAM, EVGA nVidea Geforce FX 5500 Onboard Realtek AC'97 VIA audio controller Windows XP SP2, visual settings at performance. Also, this may or may not be related, but the nullDC command window keeps showing me this one error "Error in .\dc\mem\sh4_internal_reg.cpp:ReadMem_area7:572 -> Unknown read from Area7, addr=1f100008" Last edited by Sprawly241; December 12th, 2007 at 04:32. |

Well, not really stopping, but just repeating the same tones over and over again until it crashes, like milliseconds of the music just repeated. then it crashed.
I have the save attached. It's just my whole vmu port 1, too lazy to try and get the indiviual save. lol. I don't do anything specific, except run down the hallway, and it's always the same hallway, not necessarily in the same part of the hall, but that hall, and I don't want to entertain the idea of a bad dump. >.< anyway, does that error in the command prompt affect anything badly? how can i fix it if it does? *edit* So I tried playing the game again with the same settings except i deleted the flash. I got past the area in question without a crash. But I would still like info on that read error. Last edited by Sprawly241; December 12th, 2007 at 17:31. |

Not sure if this is a problem for most, but upon trying to exit fullscreen mode using alt+f4 or any other means it brings my cpu utilization to 100% slowing my system down to a crawl. To the point where I need to reboot the entire machine. Its really annoying.

I encountered a very strenge problem in the 1,6 beta. Sadly I can not recreate it.
A couple of days ago, I started Soul Calibur, and it says "Cannot load data from VMU, press start to try again" WTF?! Gladly I had backups of the VMU files, so I used them, but with no success. Still can't load data. Then I started the null DC without a game, to enter the DC settings, and browsed the VMU. Delted some saves of games that I don't play often. Booted SC once more - still can't load data. Finally I erased the SC save from VMU and started the game (with nothing unlocked), I was cursing everything becuase I thought I'd have to unlock everything once more. But then I decided to try and place the backup VMU files in the nullDC once more. So I pasted them there, started Soul Calibur, and it loaded VMU data and everything was fine!?! I still can't understand what caused this. Anyone else encountered a similar problem? |

I encountered problem with Skies of Arcadia too.
It's near the end of the game, when entering 2nd part of Soltis. Music continues, black screen occurs. It happened before only when exiting menu (like with many other people) and solution was to delete dc_flash_wb.bin, but now it doesn't work. Configuration: nullPVR video zNullGd cdRom plugin null aica sound nullDC controller winhook maple controller, 2 VMUs audio is at sync ext device: none Video settings: res 800X600 ratio: borders textures: versioned sort: strip volumes: normal my System: Athlon XP 1700+ (overclocked to 2600+ @1600MHz) 512+256MB DDR RAM (only 512 tried too) video ATI Radeon 9500 256bit 128Mb DDR Onboard Realtek AC'97 VIA audio controller Windows XP SP2 (with october or november preSP3 fixes) nullDC command window shows this(though didn't see it in logs): Code:
Read32 from 0x8AEACF46, not mapped [_vmem default handler] Read32 from 0x8AEACF46, not mapped [_vmem default handler] Write32 to 08xAEACF46=0xDEADC0D0, not mapped [_vmem default handler] Code:
Error in .\dc\mem\sh4_internal_reg.cpp:ReadMem_area7:572 -> Unknown read from Ar ea7, addr=1e0f3da0 Code:
Error in .\dc\mem\sh4_internal_reg.cpp:WriteMem_area7:732 -> Write to Area7 not implemented , addr=1e0f6418,data=8c675080 The same crash occurs with Chancast_alpha025 so maybe problem in disc or my hardware/software. tried both Fullscreen and Windowed mode tried with dynarec on and off tried to delete dc_flash_wb.bin tried to enlarge sound buffer to 4096 on Chankast tried to drop hardware acceleration to basic level (cause somebody solved same as mine problem doing this) Here are two logs (w\dynarec on and off) and save before crash. Hope there's a decision. Thanks in advance. It seems like problem in disc image, not emulator. Really sorry if annoyed someone. Last edited by cm_Mic; December 22nd, 2007 at 08:46. Reason: non-emulator problem? |

Test Drive V-Rally --
Along with the graphics being messed up now (as previously mentioned), the CDDA music doesn't get triggered to play when the level begins for some reason. You have to pause, select Sound options, change the music settings, accept and back out of pause menu to have the soundtrack start playing.

4x4 Evolution(NTSC - U) = no boot. WinCe unfortunately...
But you guys probably know that WinCe games don't boot and which games are WinCe...but just in case.

Grandia II/Elsemi's AICA
No one seems to have mentioned this, and I don't know whether it's just me, but whenever I try to start Grandia II with Elsemi's AICA audio plugin, the screen goes blank after the little bouncy ball DC logo thing. The console that runs in the background also crashes when I close nullDC,(after running Grandia II) and I have to kill it manually.
It works fine with the other sound plugins, so I'm pretty sure it's the sound plugin that's doing it. (when I used the Chankast video plugin, it gets to a "sony Entertainment" screen before the above symptoms start) Default nullDC config my system specs are: OS: Windows XP pro CPU: Athlon 64 x2 4000+ Video Card: Radeon HD 2600 (newest Omega drivers) Sound Card: on-board sound, ALC883 (driver version 5.10.0.5532) |

Problems with shadows in nullDC
Hi people
![]() I have some problem with the shadows in nullDC (1.0.0 beta 1.6, 07/11/2007 update). At play Soul Calibur (and Dead or Alive 2 too) the character’s shadows do not show up correctly with “nullPVR v1.0.0” (configured by DEFAULT) graphic plugin. (Look Attached images) In “Chankast’s video” plugin the problem no exist, because apparently this plugin directly nullify the shadow... but it look better. Another problem than I have is than in some games, nullDC overtakes the 60 FPS sometimes (in both graphic plugins, more in Chankast plugin) and it becomes absurdly fast. Is it a bug or is there any modes of limiting the FPS? My PC SPEC: P4 HT 3 Ghz Nvidia GeForce2 MX 100-200 (ForceWare v93.71 driver supported) 1GB DDR (Dual Channel) Asus P4P800SE on WinXP SP2 Greetings! |

Hi
Using "Chankast audio plugin ( v0.2.5 )", at play "The House of the Dead 2", the music disappears when characters start to dialogue. In Chankast emulator, this game runs well. Another problem, in games with low FPS, using "Elsemi audio plugin ( v1.0.0 )" or "nullAICA audio plugin ( v0.1.0 )" the audio , continue synchronizing when I have disabled "Sync Audio" . Greetings. |
