Street Fighter Zero 3: Saikyo-Ryu-Dojo (NTSC-J)

Gets as far as past the Sega license screen and crashes with black screen.

Street Fighter III: W Impact (NTSC-J)

Displays 480i menu screens just fine but only the top half of the screen is displayed when the video mode switches to the games native video mode of 240p. The game displays fine when forced to VGA though.

Mortal Kombat Gold--

Look like this is broken in 1.6 - doesn't even boot anymore. Worked fine in 1.5and below. Couldn't figure out how to get the savelog.bat to work. Let me know if you need that for this.

The sound plugins of the 1.6 Beta seem to be broken. Both Grandia 2 and Skies of Arcadia load and are completable under 1.5, but with any of the sound plugins of 1.6 the emulator just shows a white screen after the Dreamcast logo and stays there.

Dark Mits: That's probably what's causing MKgold to not load either.

Another issue I found: I can't load any of my NRG's anymore. That appears to be another thing broken.

repost from other thread

In Ikaruga, the final boss tune locks up Elsemis sound plugin - itll just loop the opening fanfare, and its stuck like that no matter what. The tune which plays when the final god-being appears in level 5, the sound test calls the track "The Stone-Like".

I havent edited nrg code since beta 1 at all.

A change on the core code broke some games, its gona be fixed on next beta .However, SOA and Grandia work here.

Dino Crysis

The sound fx and music cut out shortly after loading an area. Sometimes it is immediate sometimes it takes about 30sec. Voice overs are fine though. This is regardless of what plugin is used.

Visuals look perfect though.

General

I just wanted to state officially in the bugs thread about the mouse pointer not hiding and the lack of a graceful exit. They shouldn't be a top priority as they don't effect playability.

Please delete post about MK Gold above. It does boot and work fine in 1.6.

I had the Cable type set to VGA (1) instead of one of the "TV's". Guess its a pal rom - nothing in title though. And I get a warning with it set to VGA (0), but a crash with VGA (1). I'm learning - maybe an quick explanation somewhere on what these 4 types are exactly and their use with different roms, etc.

I dont know what they do ... apart from their names. The dc can be connected to a TV in varius ways, and each type of cable has a value.TV(VBS) should be composite/svideo, TV(RGB) should be scart. There are 2 VGA values, i think VGA(0) is the normal one but i included the other one to have everything

Sound bugs on nullAICA - snd in fmv cutscenes loops and twitches, also ingame there are cracks, quiet but anoying.
Chanckast's AICA - snd seems ok, but there is no 'sync' therefore game goes twice too fast.
Any chances this problem will be solved in next vresions up to, let's say four months ?

So VGA(0) is like the VGA box I'm assuming. Then what is VGA(1)?

Aside from some random sound bugs, the main issue with REZ happens when losing or beating the final boss. It should display some sort of mix between rendered stuff and movie plus a blur filter or something but you get a white screen (I will post some screens of this soon)

I attached two saves. Once contains a gamefaqs save with everything unlocked (data port 1), which shows NullDC renders the two hidden stages just as fine as the others if I'm not wrong, although I encourage other people to try those two stages just in case.

The other file (data port 2) is my save of Rez, up to Area 5. You have to go through the ENTIRE Area 5 (at fullspeed that might take around 20-30 mins depending on how good you are or if the bosses go berserker) and face Eden till the end or lose at her. This is where the bug/crash triggers.

Neither the "bad" ending movie or the "good" one will display, just bgm and a white screen. As I was playing at full screen, I absolutely forgot to take screens of the console (I'm sorry, I know that wasn't that wise...)

However, I attached some screens that show the moments prior this crash/white screen. I don't know what's up with the transparency issue though, I guess it's the "sort" option I left on.

Hope this helps.

Psyvariar 2 has severe issues while displaying transparencies and/or explosions and, for some odd reason, some effects that were present before are now gone. Please check the pictures to understand what I mean.

For the explosions I'm using the first boss as reference and for a missing effect, we have the spider-thing from the second stage, whose blue and then red eyes have some cool blurred light that doesn't work properly on Beta 1.6.

It's quite odd. The only option I touched was "Sort", which by drkIIRaziel's suggestion I turned off, and fixed the speed issues.

Yes, explosions are really WTFBBQ-Light Show. Gotta love those.

First ten pictures are from NullDC Beta 1. The rest are from Beta 1.6. They say one image is worth more than one thousand words... Change that to: 20 images are worth more than one thousand words. Again, hope this helps.

The third child. The king of annoyances is Mars Matrix. I'm wondering if Capcom really put effort or something in this conversion...

Its current status is unplayable. See below why. Way too much garbage on screen and erratic frame rate (aka: "coughs") but at a certain point it's just impossible to see anything.

Tried it with Beta 1 as well. Looks a bit better, less "coughing" but... at some point it suffers the same problems.

bwahaha, I remember this thing got 10% (along with a big nice 30% for Gigawing and a 3% for Gunbird 2, which had listed "It's worse than Gigawing" as the main con) on my favourite magazine and got it anyway because I liked the ships... Tough luck for Mars Matrix.
