Is there ANY reason why we should not be using the MMU version? It seems to offer everything the normal one does but with the added benifit of playing more games, like 18 Wheeler or Ferrari F355, etc.

Its slower. On some games just a bit (5% or so) but on some others (ikaruga, Rez) that use the sq remap feature can get 40-60% slower. Also its even less tested than the normal build -- i dont know if the mmu code adds any other bugs ;p

Is it due to the Direct X ?
Yes this is due to Direct X. I also couldn't select nullPVR plugin till I downloaded the latest version from microsoft's website.

i don´t think the problem is in DX(as long as you don´t get any errors)... as i can see nullDC load the plugins to the combobox and list them... it must be something with the plugin file you´re using... use the one you have on your old version and check if they are in the right folder.

Activen, can you give us more info, like what error message do you get or what the emulator shows?

In Resident Evil Code: Veronica has remained a problem with " a head of a tiger " unfortunately.

Make your non-boot image bootable with FASTBOOT works great for me.

I went to great lengths but I couldn't manage to make a bootable image with FASTBOOT. I'll try and see what happens this time.. later ....

Edit: As I guessed.. here's the problem..

I did everything according to readme steps:

Quote:
1. mount the image (on daemon is better)
2. copy the CD content to "fastboot\Data" folder
3. copy 1st_read.bin and ip.bin from "fastboot\data" folder to "fastboot\" folder (if there is no ip.bin there is no prob)
4. run binhack with setings
4.1 binary file = 1st_read.bin
4.2 bootsector = ip.bin
4.3 msinfo = 0,0
5. after binhack copy 1st_read.bin and ip.bin to data folder again
6. run b2b_game.bat
on number 4 as soon as I run binhack, it pops up for a second and then disappears.. what's wrong ?

hmm i dont know, is there a 1ST_READ.BIN in there ? maybe u need to figure out which is the boot bin, or copy the 1ST_READ.BIN from a boot disk in there, i habe just a problem with one game(it wont boot from cdi format, orig mdf/mds works), but fastboot works normal at this game.

hmm, if i run fastboot from my emu directorie i got a error message, if i paste the fastboot folder on the desktop it works o_O
