I have NullDC beta 1.6 and many Dreamcast games work very well and at full speed, but I noticed that a few games need a LCD VMU in order to load and save, which nullDC does not have at the moment. One of these games in which you cannot load or save your progress in the game is Airforce Delta ( or Deadly Skies ). I love this game and though it shows beautiful graphics on NullDC it is not possible to save or to load because of the lack of an LCD VMU emulation. I have no way but to play the game on Chankast, but with graphic problems.
Is it possible that you release a WIP beta fixing the problem of the LCD VMU, before the final release, in order that gamers don´t have to wait too much ?
I will be grateful for your answer and thanks for developing this brillant emulator!!!

Hi. Does anyone know how to fix the save/load problem that the game Airforce Delta ( or Deadly Skies ) has running on NullDC beta 1.6 ?
Is it, as I think a problem with LCD VMU not being emulated ?
Thanks for any help!!
The next build will have full VMU emulation. So this should be fixed. The thing is Raz rewrote a bunch of things and has stated he still has a few major bugs to work out before he releases it. Your just going to have to wait unfortunately.

i'm new on the forum and i have three questions about nulldc.

1- could i use my joypad's vibration feature in the nulldc? and how? (game like code veronica..)
2- where can i find nulldc's full compatibility list for the games. Les listes de compatibilité d'émulateurs les plus complètes did not satisfy me because it says cannon spike etc. is working on nulldc, but it's not.
3- and one more question; on soul calibur, the shadows of the characters have some glitch. is that totally normal?

thanks for this great emu!! i'm waiting for new version with impatience.

& suffice it to say the screen maintains a constant white after the BIOS loads. so, no [T-1219M] GUNSPIKE is not currently working under nullDC v1.0.0 beta 1.6. as far as CANNON SPIKE is concerned, sound drops off @ the character select screen & the game freezes while attempting to load mission 1 in the [PAL] region. i cannot as of yet speak for the [NTSC|U/C] region.

What exactly is the dif between mmu and regular version? I use the mmu by default because it overall works better. Why would I need to go back to the other version?

I´m not a expert in emulation, but i think the mmu version is a slower interpreter intended to be used in some games that need MMU. MAny WinCE games use MMU...

Saying you downloaded an ISO in BIN format doesn't make sense. An ISO is an ISO, a BIN is a BIN. They are both disc image formats. Just like a WAV and an MP3 are both audio formats.

That being said, this forum does not offer support for people who illegally download games. You must dump your own. Sorry.

so u mean 4 example:i put mi sonic adventure 2 chao into chao adventure 2 by throwing them in mi vmu(on the nulldc u speak of) and with chao adventure 2 being fully interactable in a vmu from a real dreamcast, i would be able to play chao adventure 2 in vmu on nulldc as if i was holding the vmu in mi hands? if so then thats kickass!!!

Properly dumped games work. The solution to your issue is to dump the game into a CDI format. Problem solved.

Essentially yes. I am also looking forward to it.

I think raziel said that VMU emulation works only with the emulator, there is no stand alone vmu emulation. The emulation you will get is just the one with the vmu attached to a dreamcast, not separated by it. So you won't be able to play chaos adventure.
