Can you tell more about the gamepad support? I've tried by any means to set up mine, but with JGR+XPADDER the big graffiti stuff still does not work, and the plugin either , but if you manage to make it work would you please share this with us, plz ?
However, great emulator, this new release hit the spot yet again!

As Legend100 said; X-Padder isn't needed anymore, not with the new plugin

sabin1981, My expirience with DOA2 and DOA2LE show, that everything works just fine until you enter a fight. All cutscenes run at 60 fps, the moment the fight starts FPS drop dramatically, then increase to about 40-45fps, and stay at this level until the fight ends, then it goes back to 60fps. Weird.

Yup. The joystick support was well done but as stated in a different thread,
1. there's no support for the Z-Axis so I can't fully map the second digital pad to my right analog stick (I'm using a dualshock 2 controller).
2. Dead zone is needed. Not so bad in Sonic Adventure but VERY noticable in chu chu rockit as the cursor wanders about when I'm not touching the control stick.
3. Also, the last thing this emu needs in order to match chankast control-wise is rumble/force feedback support.

Keep up the work work PsyMan

I agree with 2 and 3 wholeheartedly (especially with people getting a clue and using 360 controllers on their PC). Though I have no problem mapping the second digital pad to my right stick (which uses Z rotation).

I've already tried several: SpeedLink, EasyTouch, RockFire, Saitek and Logitech pads. Al work fine, and map the second analog.
Your problem comes from the drivers (I've noticed it in Saitek's and Logitec's drivers) on some apps they have trouble with the right analog. The PC Version of Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Socker 2007 is one such game. Saitek and logitec drivers have problem with the right analog.
To fix this just install your pad as Generic USB Joystick.

Mine was similar, but the FPS drop was only momentary .. at the start and end of the fight, but in the middle - it was fine. Then I came home and tried it again to find the game runs flawlessly now :-\

Very odd, but not (by any means) unwelcome

NullDC keeps crashing whenever I set the controller to Keyboard. I get the message "Unhandled exeption while Initing nullExtDev (Nov 7 2007) plugin.
I'm using Windows Vista with 2.66ghz Dual Core.

hey guys..

..does this emu fully supports dual core CPUs ? I have a amd X2 4400 and the CPU usage never goes beyond 50 % in the task manager. Some games could use the unused 50 %

10x for the answer.

I was indeed using the chankast graphics plug-in, as i was playing Shenmue 2.
The nullpvr graphics plugin while having more errors is indeed much faster

This emu -rocks- since beta 1. Quick question for those who play REZ: is there a way to finish the game? It hangs in a white screen with audio playing, after you kill the Area 5 boss in his last shape (same if you lose against it).

I had version 1.0 on my computer and chose to update to 1.6 on my laptop, it looks much cooler !

The pad function is great, no more xpadder !

But i have a problem : skies of arcadia (and some other games) where working on 1.0, but now when i launch the game, after the dreamcast logo, the screen becomes black, and then nothing :s

I'm on windows vista, gefore 8600GT 156mb, 2giga ram, dual core 1.8ghz, so my computer works well but i think it comes from the game ?

Any solution please ? (if the post is in the wrong section, move it ^^)

Thanks a lot ^^

Can you hear any type of music or sound during the black screen? Also, Skies of Arcadia (as well as Grandia 2) will not load with some sound plugins (I think Elsemi's or Chankast's, I need to recheck).

Well, actually ... it's working well lol... i haven't changed anything i think, the sound is aica in 2048 so it works well, i've played it for an hour or more, and no bug, no lag or anything else... strange ...

In fact all my games are working well now, crazy taxi 2 was bugging last time, but it's perfect now !
Thanks anyway ^^

You can either hope you once had stuff saved and dumped it on your comp or retrieve a save from gamefaqs and use it. I had to do that as I lost all my saves years ago. But it also helped me determine that the other two stages (Lost Area and Trance Mission) work properly with NullDC.

The game indeed hangs at the 5th boss (pretty mood breaking considering the previous moments of that area...) Dunno what causes it. As you said, the music still plays in the background.

Guess that's one of the last big issues NullDC has and goes along with the infamous invisible bullets of Ikaruga's chapter 2 (which probably everyone is waiting to get fixed given the "epic" status of Ikaruga... and the chance of playing it at obscenely high resolutions), the leon head thing from RE: Code Veronica and, now, the horrible slowdowns and heavy transparency issues with Psyvariar 2 (dunno what happened as it worked like a charm with the previous beta, except it lacked the black borders)

Anyway, drkIIRaziel work is just amazing. NullDC feels and is solid, stable and, what's even better, runs most stuff at full speed and without heavy issues or requiring a thermonuclear computer with 10 cores.

I think i know what causes that now, propably will be fixed on next release.

Try to disable Polygon sorting, if many transparent stuff / etc are around it gets tooo slow.Old version didnt implement it at all (same in new version if sorting is set to None).

Actualy there are many many features that have to be emulated.Dont forget that wince games barely boot (and the ones that do run _horribly_ slow). There is also naomi/naom2 ;p
