I can't play any games -- Init_netplay() error?!

I'm trying to use NullDC to play Skies of Arcadia and I've read the readme (and the forums) but I can't seem to figure this out.

I'm using a working dc_bios.bin (renamed to dc_boot.bin) and dc_flash.bin that I've copied from Chankast.

Here is the console when I load NullDC:

If you want to use serial port ipc redirection use -slave piperead pipewrite/-serial FILE_NAME

Then, I select File --> Normal Boot and it prompts me to select a file. I then select images I know work fine (utopia boot disc [cdi], skies of arcadia [both cdi and nrg]) and the console window shows this:

Using CDI reader

However, the NullDC window does not change.

After a few seconds, the console window shows this error:

Unable to connect to server!
Verify Failed : Init_netplay()==0
in InitMain -> .\drkMapleDevices.cpp : 2106

...and the NullDC main window does not change or do anything.

What am I doing wrong?

...and I've figured out the problem.

I should have been using "nullDC Controller [WinHook]" instead of "nullDC Controller [WinHook, NET]".

I am an idiot. Hopefully this thread will be helpful to somebody else...

you are using the netplay version of nulldc, download the normal offline version
