Savefiles

Ok, so, I was looking through some old files I had on my flash drive, and I noticed I had a save file for Sonic Adventure 2 in a VMI format. My question is this: Is it possible to use it with NullDC and, if so, where do I put it?

With Chankast VMSBrowser you can insert VMI it into NullDC memory card - it's simple!

Is that included with NDC? Or do I have to download Chankast to do that? I'd rather not go through the trouble of setting Chankast up again...

1. Get the chankast vmu browser.
2. Rename the nulldc vmu file (can't remember the exact name but it is rather self explanatory.) to that of chankast's (vmu1.bin or something).
(both names are very self explanatory so you should be able to figure the names out.)
3. Put the renamed file to the same folder as the chankast one's..(overwrite or move the original out of the way.)
4. Launch the chankast vmu browser. (it now loads the new vmu file you just moved)
5. Use the import vmi function of the vmu browser.
6. Save the changes. (well duh...)
7. Rename the file back to the name nulldc uses and put the file back in the nulldc forder.

That is atleast how I did some similar work.
Sorry for not remembering the exact file names. Luckily like I said the file names are rather self explanatory so you should be able to figure them out.

VMU Explorer would be the better choice.

Just rename the VMU you want to use to "vms.bin" then put the "vmsbrowser.exe" in the same folder as the "vms.bin". Load "vmsbrowser.exe", then click "Import Save" and find your save. Click "Write VMS.BIN", and then it's saved. Rename your VMU back to its original name ("vmu_data_port01.bin", for example), and there you go!

I followed the instructions, although it still isn't working for me. I've been playing Fire Pro D, and once I go ahead and rename the file back to the original name; and start the game up it nothing happens. I check to see if I have no load anything, but theirs nothing there.

Any help?

I forgot a step. Once you load "vmsbrowser.exe", you need to click the "vms.bin" icon on the left to select the VMU first, then load your save.

I've always done that, and still it's not saving. I don't even think NullDC is reading the file. In game, it doesn't show a VMS card at all.

And here's what the document says, when starting the file.

And the plugins
