Hydrothunder and Blue Sky

Hi all,

Does anyone have a fix for the solid black sky in hydrothunder. I love this game and it is so close! Is the problem limited to Nvidia cards? Are there any workarounds in the driver control panel settings?

Thanks,

G

if it helps, I believe the Nintendo 64 version of the game is rather well emulated in Project 64 and it doesn't look all that much worse, actually.

And yes, it's a nice game

Yeah, I've actually tried it on Project 64. It runs pretty good with analog controls and force feedback too. Still nothing can match Hydrothunder on Dreamcast, with its high resolution textures and water effects. In the N64 version, the textures are horrible.

JdrkIIRaziel, Just checked on two computers, one with Geforce 8800 PCIe on Vista, one with ATI X800-XL AGP on XP. Both have solid black skies. See attachment. Hope you can fix it.

It's a Z-Buffer issue with nullPVR. It's fixed on internal BETAs that use a different Z-Buffering approach.

Until BETA 2 is out you can use Chanka PVR which shows the sky correctly.
