Sonic Adventure 1 - controller issues

System Specs:

3.2 Ghz Prescott Pentium 4 CPU
ATI Radeon X850 PE GFX card
Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit Sound card
Windows XP Professional OS

I use the default nullDC configuration, but I've customised the controls in the control plugin.

I've tried booting Sonic Adventure 1 but it won't respond to the controller after I select my hz settings, is there a fix for this issue?

I don't get this problem if I use demul.

Are you sure that you configured the keys correctly? It won't accept any input or you can press buttons but you can't move?

It just won't accept any input whatsoever, the same thing happens with Sonic Adventure 2, I can select the hz settings, but once I'm past that screen it just ignores the controller completely.

That's strange... Are you sure that you selected a maple plugin for Port A and you configured the keys for that port? It's possible that you selected another Port by accident.

Yup, because Jet Set Radio works fine.

I don't know what else it could be then. Both games have been reported to work fine.

I'm not sure either, I've tried booting the games using normal boot and HLE booting, that didn't change a thing.

Guess I'll have to verify if you configured the emulator correctly.

There is a file named nullDC.cfg in the same directory as the emulator. Can you upload this file?

Ahh... I see the problem. You manually mapped some buttons to the "shift" and "ctrl" keys. The maple plugin has problems when you map buttons to specific keys (including those two).

Just re-assign some buttons to alphanumerical keys and avoid mapping buttons to "special" keys.
