Ok I went into the Nvidia control panel and I deselected Force Vsync and left triple buffering on. This actually fixed the issue. Just went through a whole tier in MKGold without a hitch. The graphics ran smooth, but I think the Vsync did help with smoothness. Nevertheless, it was totally playable and no sound glitches at all. Thanks for the tip!

I'm trying to get the choppy sound sorted as well (using Project Justice as a template). I followed the first two pages of advice, but it won't fix.

Let me list what I've got and what I've done so far, so maybe one of you can point out what I'm missing or haven't tried.

First, I'm using nulldc 1.03_mmu.

These are the plugins I'm using:

Settings for the audio plugin:

And I'm using Realtek HD Audio. I typed "Sound" in Vista and changed it from there:

After all that, I've tried 2048, 2044, and 4096 in the config file. I still get scratchy audio, specifically the music.

Please help me out, it's the one hurdle to getting perfect emulation.

I just tried it now, and there was no difference. Anything else I might have missed?

Which of the tricks did you use?

Bumping again for help. I've been using Project Justice as a template, and the music is scratchy, like it's too loud for the speakers to handle.

Don't know if this issues is for my soundcard only or if it works on others but it's worth a shot.
For anyone else who has Realtek drivers, this fixed my sound issues immediately

I did the buffer change, and still nothing... but until I went to:

Menu > Options > Aica > Mute CDDA

That's when it stopped.

The sound came back, and the buzzing went away.

I did change the buffer to 4096 however... but it was still buzzing until I muted the CDDA.

Maybe it requires both? Not sure, but didnt test. I am not a nullDC pro, nor know much about it... but it was a quick fix for me.

Oh snap. Just assumed that the buggy sound was just part of the emulator not being complete and I've just been dealing with it. Thanks a lot.
