DOA2 non-LE
Ive gone through the threads here but haven't come across anyone confirming it..
DOA2 non-LE, does it run at proper speeds in NullDC? I have a non-self boot copy I can't get to work for the life of me!!! If anyone knows how to boot Vanilla DOA2 let me know

I thought NullDC doesn't support disc swapping yet? How can you do that?
Is there anyway to make it self-bootable? ( I have a real DC with Utopia's boot disk, I want to run it in NullDC thought and see if it performs better than the LE version) |

You will have to use Bin2boot to hack the game. Make an ISO of the game files (I prefer using Mkisofs.exe) and pass the filename to bin2boot via the command line, mount or burn the new CDI image and boot it in nullDC! A typical batch file will look like this:
Code:
mkisofs -C 0,0 -V temp -l -o temp.iso temp bin2boot temp.iso del temp.iso del *.tmp rmdir /s /q temp pause cls I put up the necessary files+batch here so try it!

Does this method work for other games as well? Otherwise it may be a good idea to have this information more centralized like in a sticky thread, so that it won't be forgotten. I'm sure a lot of other people with legit disc images have the same problems, thus resorting to a downloaded version.

ZerouEx are you on Vista?
@Cid Highwind: It seems Vista doesn't support Bin2boot. I also don't know how to make an ISO of an image with redbook audio tacks (I don't think it's possible but I could be wrong!). I reckon newer tools were made so we'll have to look for them! |

Well, I was able to acquire a version which has DOA2 and Powerstone 2 in one ISO with a homebrew selection menu at the beginning...
It's DOA 2, original US release, and it is STILL slow and locked at 30FPS. I hit that 30/30 no problem, sounds are timed and played correctly, but it's soo slow still. So I guess it isn't an LE limited problem Answers my question
