Ok then, just tell me when I have to do something. I checked with CPU-Z and it has SSE. It runs at 895MHz.

Hello

I am not the good samaritan but I think that I can offer you my help.

I am on the emulation scene since more than 15 years. I have started programming with some demos on Atari ST and Amiga 500.

Now, I am 31 and I am still enjoying my old games, arcade cabinets and other electronic stuffs...

1) I speak and read japanese fluently (I have take look to the PDF and it's not so hard to translate)

2) I work as electronician and so I have the possibility to dump any EPROM, to program them... If you wanna what I can do, I have exactly the same dumping capabilities as the Guru.

3) As a big fan of Sega, I have any types of Dreamcast: US, PAL, JAPANESE and some of them are available to be explored... I have some GDROMS also...

I don't know if my help will be be accepted, but don't hesitate...

Hello good fellas.

I'm really happy that you're planning to work on the Dreamcast and all other hardware that it is based, it's one of the news of the year for me, because the emulation scene is quite warm these days.

I saw your post and tried to contact the Guru, because he is my reference on dumping, etc, but i (for me) he is very dificult to contact. Maybe you that are on the emulation scene could ask for some help.

I like the Eggman's post, really ! Try to talk with this man !

And for helping, i could try to do the Portuguese "BR" translations, and donate some cash.

Best of luck !

Thanks for the replies, as it stands there are two good Samaritans offering help with the JVST*.PDF, we shall see who gets it translated. There are all sorts of offers to translate the UI/Other aspects to various languages. In the final version we will support a script to accomplish this most likely.

Please do not contact Guru regarding this project, he is aware of the project for quite some time now, and is kept busy with his work and mamedev.

We are responding to our PM's as we have time, if you do not get an immediate reply, please don't be offended.

Thanks

I can read/write Chinese/English and a bit of Japanese, I can't say I'm very good but I believe I can handle technical terms.

I'll try translating the "JVST_VER3R.pdf", just downloaded it.

I saw Eggman offering help for the file, to be efficient I can try others or cooperate with him to archive better result.

Can't make a promise when I can finish it, since I need to work at free time, but I'm willing to help.

Email me anytime: johnson@tmfc.net

A big thanks to Mr. Fabulous, he has donated $50 USD towards the goals of naomi and dreamcast emulation on nullDC. He also donated a Sega v1 model IO Adapter a few weeks back.

Thanks again Mr. Fabulous

I have an extra Dreamcast sitting in my closet. The only thing that's wrong is that the first controller port is iffy at best. Can you guys use it?

What format do you need the translation in? PDF, JPG?

The translations are easy, it's just time consuming to redo the file. I'm assuming that the file doesn't have to look great, just work, right?

Has anyone started working on this yet? If not I can have a few pages in for today.

the only thing I can think of that this emulator needs is netplay and controller support. and since you're probably already working on that, I can't think of anything. great emu, it plays Soul Calibur almost perfect.

Hi,

If you're looking for a PIC16 expert then I'm your man. I've developed literally dozens of projects using that microcontroller, so I'm very familiar with PIC16 assembler as well as its internal peripherals and architecture. I could write an accurate PIC16 emulator for PC.
I'm also very familiar with video game systems and emulation (one of my personal projects was a hardware Motorola 68K-based video game console for which I wrote an emulator). I'm very interested on dreamcast emulation because I'm a fan of sega/sonic.
I'm particullary interested in the PowerVR graphics chip emulation core and where can I get technical information about it because I'm developing a GPU for my homemade video console.
Just ask and you'll get it!
Greetings from Spain!

I don't speak Japanese well yet, but my girlfriend does, she'd be happy to help me translate stuff into English since she works as a translator anyway and has to keep using English. So if you need something done, just PM me or something.
