Can't Install on Windows Vista.

As the title States, I can't install NullDC on Windows Vista Ultimate using either installer. When I attempt to I get the error in the screenshot Below and install terminates.

I have also tried to download the Visual C++ SP1 runtimes that dKRaziel linked to in a thread, but that fails to install as well.

I'd be thankful if anyone can help me solve this issue

Try using the binaries only. That's how it's running here.

Where do I get these Binaries, are they included with the NullDC Download? Because if they are, I've already tried both of the NullDC Installers which don't work for me.

Are you talking about Binaries from the Microsoft Website. I'm a bit confused as to what you are talking about

Thank You if you can let me know

Click the link below, look under plain files.
http://forums.ngemu.com/nulldc-forum...-beta-1-a.html

Regarding your Vista error -- Do you have admin. credentials (i.e. can elevate)? Have you installed anything recently that required a reboot and you haven't rebooted yet? Please retry setup then compress and attach %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log (at least the last few hundred lines, the rest can be truncated if desired).

I had no problem installing it on Vista with the installer and I have Ultimate but I have also disabled User Account Control. Disabling User Accont Control could fix your problem since that causes a lot of problems and can cause errors like that.

You can disable it by going to the Control Panel and open Administrative Tools and then going to System Configuration in there. From there go to the Tools tab then go down the list to Disable UAC and click it then click Launch and your done.

UAC wouldn't cause these issues nor is it recommended you disable it.

Despite what you may think or know about UAC (which you have proven to be nothing), the problem the poster is having has nothing to do with UAC.

In the 7 years of computer use I've never used an anti-virus and not once had a machine infected (uac is good for old people or computer illiterate who think that everything that pops up is true).

If you never ran a virus scan, then how do you know you were never infected?

Either way, whether UAC is worthwhile or not is completely irrelevant, it has nothing to do with his installation problems.

UAC can cause these kinds of problems since it will prevent programs from writing data in certain areas and ends up causing errors which will prevent the program from working right. I have had these problems myself and before I knew of UAC got rid of them by changing the ownership of every file on my hd to my account but that didn't get rid of all the problems so I searched and then found out about the problems caused by UAC and then found out how to diable it and did. Since then I haven't had many problems except the occasional file that won't delete or will delete but just reappear.

PS. Just to let you know a lot of my problems were from trying to install programs which before I changed the ownership of all files to my account I couldn't with most programs.
